    Default Super Famicom data controller

What would this SFC controller be used on? The auction said that it was a NTT data controller. I notice that it had buttons with numbers on it in addition to the regular ones. Japan and Europe got all the cool stuff!

So we can use this crazy controller to bet on horses? I'd buy it.

It went for a best offer of 20 bucks. I would have bought it just because it was different even if I could never ever use it.

I believe there was a home banking and stock trading program for the Super Famicom in Japan that actually used a modem to upload information. This controller was packed with it. I most likely do not have all of my facts correct, but i remember reading about this somewhere.

Might be thinking of the Famicom banking modem, Klausien.

There are a few models like this, some for the famicom and some for the Super Famicom:

    http://www.japan-games.com/Database/...work/index.htm

That's the famicom network which was also used to place bets via modem on horse racing.

I have a similar one for sale now:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Famicom...QQcmdZViewItem

Mostly they were made for either banking or horse race betting.
    Thanks,
    Eric
