    EDIT, so I actually contribute to this thread: I've never had one overheat for a console. My laptop's, however, gets quite hot at the drop of a hat. My usual answer is to unplug it until it cools down. That's obviously not an option for a console, so I'd suggest trying to get my hands on some first party ACs, stat. (Presumably) unlicensed third party crap = stay away if at all possible.
