· HIDDEN MESSAGE: To display the secret message in Space Invaders: during the gameplay demo portion of attract mode press the following buttons at the same time: UP+FIRE+2. Then press the following buttons at the same time: LEFT+FIRE+1. The message ("TAITO COP") will appear at the top of the screen. The same trick can be performed on Space Invaders arcade machines, though the button sequence is slightly different: press at the same time LEFT+RIGHT+FIRE+2PLAYERS, then press LEFT+FIRE+1PLAYER.
· HIDDEN MESSAGE: To display the secret message in Space Invaders Part II/Deluxe: during the gameplay demo portion of attract mode press the following buttons at the same time: RIGHT+FIRE+2. Then press the following buttons at the same time: LEFT+FIRE+1. The message ("TAITO CORP.") will appear at the top of the screen. The same key sequence will work with Space Invaders Part II/Deluxe arcade machines.
· All Space Invaders Collection cartridges come with a unique serial number programmed inside for identification purposes. If you want to check your serial number, simply press "0" on the 2nd controller keypad while in the opening/selection screen. The serial ID will be displayed at the bottom of your TV.
· Entering PRESET MODE: Would you like some easy play with Space Invaders Part II/Deluxe? Just enter PRESET MODE and have fun! Do as following:
Place credits with "#" key in the first controller.
Before pressing keys "1" or "2", press and hold "*" in
the second controller.
While holding "*" in the second controller, choose "1"
or "2" in the first controller.
That's it, you have entered PRESET MODE.
Now press "1" for an extra 1000 points. You can press as
much times as you want. Here is a good opportunity to check the Name
Registration screen!
Press "2" to skip a level.
Push LEFT to disable invader shots.
Press fire to start playing.
The same trick can be done in the original arcade, though you will need access to the dip switches inside the machine.
