Atari Video Computer System / 2600

PLEIADES

· There are only 3 stages instead of 4; the 2nd and 3rd stages from the coin-op game are combined into one stage.  Also, there are only 4 rounds or levels of difficulty, after which the 4th round keeps repeating.

· BUG: The manual has the Left Difficulty effects reversed - A offers unlimited ships, not B. {Scott Stilphen}

· BUG: Some of the scoring values listed in the manual aren’t correct. Below is a chart with all the correct values:

· BUG: Unfortunately, those involved in putting together the manual didn’t use the arcade game’s manual as a reference.  The manual incorrectly refers to stages as waves, your Earth Spaceship as simply either “ship” or “craft”, Martians as “darters” or “crawlers”, the Martian Space Battleship as “mothership”, the Space Monsters as “Phoenix Dropships”, and the landing corridor as the “runway area”.  Also it mentions the arcade game was by Centuri, it fails to mention the game was an original by Tehkan International Corp., who licensed it to Centuri.  In addition, the artwork on the packaging is not the same as the coin-op.  {Scott Stilphen}

· BUG: Starting with level 3 or 4, the 1st round will end before you shoot all of the Martians.  Occasionally you will even see one appear as the round ends.  {Scott Stilphen}

· BUG: Although the manual states you earn a free ship every time you complete the 3rd stage (landing corridor), you only earn a free ship for completing round 1, 2, and 3.  In other words, you start with 3 ships and have a chance to earn 3 more (6 total).  {Scott Stilphen}
