Description: 100,000 units made, between 15,000 and 35,000 sold apparently (around the UK, parts of Europe and possibly Australia) and lord knows how many of those were returned as faulty. Easy to repair, even easier to break. Released towards the end of 1990 to supposed acclaim, trying to muscle into the console market created by Nintendo and Sega. It failed. Approximately 25 new cartridges were created in the 2 year period after its release, but games sales were not as high as expected, partially because many C64 owners did not think the new cartridges would work with their existing machines! Many of those machines that were not sold had their chips removed and reused in C64Cs instead. Was bundled with a new 4-in-1 cartridge.
