Description: Also known as the Ultimax (America), Vic-10 (UK) or VC-10 (Germany). Was slated for release in those countries, but in the end, appeared exclusively in Japan at roughly the same time the C64 appeared in America. Had many of the same features as the "parent" machine, but with a cut down RAM (4k), no disk drive access and a membrane keyboard. Many games released for the MAX were unique to Japan only, but all will work fine on a proper C64 machine. A number of examples known to be held by collectors outside of the native country.
