Activision ROBOT RUBBLE Cartridge Instructions (For 1 Player) Robot Rubble by Steve Montero was never released. Unfortunately, this prototype, while demonstrating the basic features of the game, is not fully playable. The robots' lasers do not interact with the player's onscreen character. There is no way to lose a life on the main game screen. On the intermediary game screen, however, there is no way to get around the bouncing robots without getting killed. It's impossible to get to level two. INSTRUCTIONS To start, press the disc. You control the man at the bottom of the screen. Robots appear from the mountains at the top of the screen and start shooting laser beams at your man. You can hide behind the rocks - but the lasers blast them away. Soon you'll have nowhere to hide. Your defense is to blow up the robots with hand grenades. You have to lob them over the rocks, timing them just right to hit the robots. But on e grenade won't do it - one hit will just blow a robot's head off. You'll have to hit it a second time before it finds its head and starts tracking again. Destroy five robots and you'll go to the Bonus screen. Navigate through the bouncing robots to get to the transporter disc. THen it's back to the mountains to face even more challenging robots! Use of the Controller Use disc to run back and forth on screen. Press either top side action key to throw a grenade. Scoring Hit a complete robot: 100 points. Hit a headless robot: 1000 points. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ©1983 Activision, Inc.
