OPERATION THUNDERBOLT --------------------- OPERATION THUNDERBOLT --------------------- ROY ADAMS IS BACK! Get the laser sight, or the bulletproof vest, but watch out for those air-to-ground missiles! GOOD LUCK IN YOUR MISSION LOADING ------- Press the SHIFT key and the RUN/STOP key simultaneously. CONTROLS -------- Operation Thunderbolt is a one or two player game which can be played with the following: Keyboard (fully redefinable), Joystick, Neos/Commodore 1351 mouse and Light Gun. When the game first loads the default settings are: Player One uses a Joystick in port 1 Player Two uses a Joystick in port 2 By selection of CONTROL OPTIONS (F7) on the title screen the player may change the default control settings to a different combination. PLEASE NOTE ----------- Due to hardware restrictions some control methods interfere with each other, such as Mouse and Light Gun, so the Control Options menu will not allow the player to define certain control combinations together. If the player selects JOYSTICK as the control options, pressing fire will fire the gun. Pressing the fire button twice in quick succession will launch a rocket. If the player selects KEYBOARD as a control option the default keys are:- Q - UP A - DOWN O - LEFT P - RIGHT SPACE - FIRE GUN RETURN - FIRE ROCKET The keys may be changed by selecting the DEFINE KEYS option of the Control Options menu. F1 - PAUSE/UNPAUSE RUN/STOP - ABORT GAME (WHILST IN PAUSE MODE) KEYS WHEN USING LIGHT GUN ------------------------- Player 1 If player one is using a Light Gun press RETURN to fire a rocket (unless it has been redefined to another key). LIGHT GUN --------- PLEASE NOTE: TO ENSURE AN ACCURATE OPERATION OF THE LIGHT GUN, ENSURE THE BRIGHTNESS IS TURNED UP ON YOUR TV/MONITOR. COMMODORE/NEOS MOUSE -------------------- LEFT MOUSE BUTTON - FIRE ROCKET RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON - FIRE GUN CONTINUING THE GAME ------------------- When your energy reaches zero, you will have a continue play option. This will allow you to restart the level on which you died. In a one player game you will have four continues. In a two player game both players will have two chances each to continue the game. GAMEPLAY -------- The player, equipped with sub-machine guns and rockets must shoot all the enemies who appear on screen. Remember that your energy and ammunition are limited, and these can only be replenished by picking up objects such as magazines and power bottles that appear on screen or are parachuted down in crates. © 1988 Taito Corp.
