Default Entire collection lot (reprise) w/pics & final list!

Man.. what a PITA that was. Anyways.. the IGN collection page has been finalized and the total stands at 451 games (The "view stats" chart says 450.. but I can't figure out the discrepancy.). ALL of those games listed HERE are included in the lot. For a better description of why I'm doing this, and how.. please see my last post HERE. It's fallen off the front pages and become too cluttered with updates by me so I decided to start fresh. For an explanation of my grading system from my post in last September; please see HERE.

    FINAL count:

    450 games
21 consoles (22 if you count the Pocketstation, 23 if you count the CDX as two)

So.. once again.. here's the deal. It's one last lot.. period. I wont part-out, I won't sell single games.. I won't sell smaller lots. THE CONSOLES ARE INCLUDED IN THE LOT. I won't sell them separately either. The 450 games are one-shot.. period. Like I've said before.. it takes a while to load up the IGN page.. but it's not as bad as it was when it was at 750+, and there's no way one can disable the box-art when you're just a public viewer.. nor can I edit it out for public view.. sucks. I've taken out all of the games I'm keeping so yes.. it's everything on that page. These are not a bunch of commons. sports.. or kids games either folks. We're all enthusiasts and collectors here.. and while there's no uber-rare protos or $1,000 bare 2600 carts.. none of this stuff is crap either. It represents some 8 years of buying and searching on eBay. All include case/box, manual & cart/CD. Clicking on "view stats" in the upper right corner of the list will give you a breakdown of the game quantities by platform. Clicking on the word "Platform" at the top of the columns will sort the list by platform (that's how I view it) rather than by ALL titles alphabetically. Clicking on "Show Public Notes" at the top of the title column will bring up the individual conditions for each game. Remember.. if you look at my other posts I explain my grading and how to read the statements.

I'm open to offers.. I actually don't have a figure in mind.. like I said though.. it cetainly isn't $11,153 (I have NO idea how revising the list.. dropping some games, but actually ending up with 5 MORE dropped the value from $16,000 [in my last post] to $11,000 but at least this figures closer to realistic.. go figure.).. but please don't insult me or try to be a "funny" guy either. This is serious folks.. for a serious cause. I won't miss this crap.. or the scene.. and I want to get rid of it. PM me if you're interested. I have no idea what shipping would be but it would be a lot because obviously.. this stuff's heavy. I'd seriously consider a long-haul trucking line over UPS or FedEx.

All pictures I took in the last week, of the entire lot can be seen in one fell swoop HERE. Links to individual pictures are incorporated into the list. So without further ado.. here is the "hardware" list which is included in the lot:

... <4 hours later.. I hope this was worth it.. > I don't ever.. want.. to do.. this.. again.

Well.. that's everything listed, catalogued and pictured. BTW.. I know my feedback forum link doesn't work.. but I haven't been able to re-edit since the forum change on account of the minute I do.. it tells me I've exceeded the sig line-limit.. so I don't. But I AM in the FB forum.

Only a few of these games are "greatest hits" versions, and none are where it would matter.

Also.. as some of you know.. I'm scorch56 everywhere on the net. I don't change nyms. So if you want to look up my EatMeBay feedback.. you know..

The bulk of the stuff will be shipped in these:

There's about 14 of them and a half dozen boxes. I've never seen so much blood, sweat, tears & crap.. in one place (about 8 years worth). I'll leave this up for a few days or so. I've gotten some offers but I don't know how serious they are. Like I said earlier.. if it doesn't sell here.. at least it's ready for evilBay now.

Thanks. As for the SNES games.. some of those games took a while to find complete. Some had to be "pieced" together over time. I was trying to figure the other night how I got from 750 games to 450. Then I remembered that the Xbox, GCN and PS2 games that I'm keeping come to 150 alone so that factored back in would bring me up to 600. As for the other 150.. well I sold off all of my SMS games save for Phantasy Star and all of my NES games save for ten of them. A few of the other platforms here and there and it comes out close.

A few weeks ago I sold a complete Chrono Trigger, FF II & FF III. Earthbound and Super Mario RPG went months ago. While they may have been the "expensive" ones.. they are not uncommon and can be found at almost any time. This is literally.. an "instant" collection for anyone. Frankly if I were in opposite shoes and bought it.. I'd re-buy the games I just mentioned and the two Suikodens for the PSX and almost call it quits (unless you're into other genres and platforms). I also had a few shooters for the SNES (not my thing) the most proud I was of, was a complete copy of R-Type III. I sold it a couple of weeks ago on eB for $50. Man.. prices are fluctuating there right now. A couple of months ago a member sold a complete copy of Metal Warriors on eB for $28 as I recall. The other day I saw one go for $110.. more in line with "historical" prices.

Look.. guys.. I appreciate all the good advice I'm getting from members in PMs.. I really do; and I ESPECIALLY appreciate all the messages of encouragement and "well wishes" I've had from you regarding the situation with my mom and I from the last thread.. believe me.

But.. BEFORE you start PM'ing me with messages about how I should part this out on eBay (before is a misnomer.. it's already happening).. or how I'll NEVER get the 11 grand figure quoted on IGN.. let me say.. I KNOW that! In fact.. didn't I say that in my thread here.. AND my thread linked here.. to my original post about two weeks ago? As for "parting out".. I also said why I don't want to do that in my last thread HERE.

I know this ongoing sales "soap opera" is a lengthy read.. but if you read and follow it.. you'll see WHY I am doing this and what I expect from it. Trust me , and if you're not interested.. well..

I still appreciate estimates, offers.. and even well wishes.. but I guess I'm going to have to reiterate.. I'm NOT going to part out anything. I'm not going to sell as "console lots" and I'm NOT expecting anywhere NEAR $11,000 for all of this stuff!

Having said all of that.. I DO have an offer of what I consider to be a "fair" (though "fair" for me now is generated out of my desparate situation and I wouldn't have let this lot go for it.. 2 years ago) price by a member who shall go unnamed; and I won't disclose the amount (he's a collector and NOT a reseller). I'm just waiting for word back from him now that I've finalized the list and put up pictures. It may or may not come to fruition.. wish me luck though.. because if he's serious.. it's all gone soon.

Just wanted to stress a few points I forgot, and left out of the originating post:

    1) Not ALL items listed are pictured; for example.. 3 Playstation consoles are listed.. only one is pictured (the boxed one); same with several of the stock controllers.. but everything listed IS included.

    2) Every single game listed is complete (save for the "extraneous" docs in most cases, such as reg cards and epilepsy warnings, etc). In other words.. if a game originally came with a map, or poster, or anything else.. I strived to complete it. Breath of Fires come with map/posters; ToeJam & Earl comes with the poster and Thousand Arms comes with the extra bonus items, etc. The only game missing a thing (AFAIK) is Robotrek, it originally came with a chart and I was never able to come by one. Individual components ARE listed in the IGN list if "show public notes" is picked.

    3) Also included in the lot; but neither listed.. nor pictured are approximately 50 brand-new clear plastic box sleeves (The ones some of us were looking for last year.. and I procured.). They are brand-new, still flat and unfolded. About 50% of the SNES boxes already have these sleeves on them (They don't show up in the pictures but they are on them.).. mostly the "rares" or the boxes that were in excellent condition. Also included are a bunch of empty cases for various platforms (Gen, a few N64 rental cases, some SNES cart covers, etc.). They are not pictured as well. Miscellaneous A/V cords, PSUs, RFs and such are included.. just not pictured.

Keep those offers rolling in! Thanks.

I've just decided that if this doesn't go here in the next week.. I'm putting it up on evilBay (God help me..) next Thursday (the 1st) with a reserve. I was trying to figure out what eB would get last night ($-wise) should the lot NOT sell vs. it sells at my reserve ;and now I have even one more reason to hate them. Oh well.. soon as this stuff is gone.. it's going to be the happiest day in my life when I tell them to close down my 8-year old account.

I'm not telling.. because it's a reserve . However.. I WILL give you a hint (the same one I'm going to put in the auction).. it is a number.. or a MULTIPLE of a number.. that I can 100% guarantee will be in the auction somewhere. For example.. if the number 220 appeared somewhere in my auction it could be either $22, $220 or $2200. Having said that.. I'll give you another hint.. it's somewhere in this thread as well.. guaranteed (and no.. once again.. it's NOT the IGN estimate either.. nowheres near it). It also happens to be the same amount I've already been offered by a forum member.. but he hasn't gotten back to me.. and I'm now beginning to think he wasn't serious; but I've been told by others (except for resellers) it's a fair price.

One of my concerns is that if I DID let everybody know what my reserve is.. or at what price point I would sell this stuff at.. I'm either not going to have any competition (as in higher offers) or.. I'm going to generate a round of PMs telling me I CAN'T get that much for it. We shall see. I've already told a few people in PMs when referring to that aforementioned offer so far.

Anybody care to take a guess? I'll tell you if you're right.

Probably the last bump before it goes up on eBay by the end of the week. If anyone else wants to make me a "serious" offer.. now's the time because I really don't want to throw this up on evilBay. I'm taking into account all of my time & trouble, seller fees and PayPal BS. Take all that away from what I'd want to get out of it up there on "shysterville" (as in.. a reserve) and you might be surprised what I'd rather let it go for here.

It's all packed up and ready to go.

BTW.. crap!.. I was just looking over my pictures and I noticed the orange 3DO ALG lightgun is NOT pictured! (How coul I have missed one of my most prized 3DO posessions?) Anyways.. I have one.. it's in new condition.. and it IS in the lot (not pictured...grrrr).

I have decided to do as some have suggested and split this up into platform-specific lots. The first one is the biggest.. all of my Playstation games, hardware & accessories. It is scheduled to post on eB in less than a half hour (4:30 PM PST, today-Thursday 03/01). I will post a link in the eBay forum as soon as it comes up. Thanks to everyone who made offers on this lot.. it just wasn't enough. I plan to liquidate everything through March.. one lot at a time. Some of my HTF Genny and SNES games may be sold separately.

Bumped for the hell of it. The PSX lot auction seems to be coming along well.

BTW.. if anyone wants to trade a 360 (preferabely a core system) for ANY of this stuff (besides the PSX stuff).. shoot me a PM.

    Please though.. just be fair.

Well that PSX auction certainly didn't go as I hoped.. to put it mildly <heavy sigh>.

Screw sellin' frickin' lots on eatmEBay.. I guess it's back to square one and partin' this shit out again.

Anybody.. please make me some "fair" offers on any or all of this stuff.. please.. I want to get rid of it in the worst way.

But just because it sounds like I'm desperate.. doesn't mean I'd let it go for the "insults" i've pretty much recieved so far. I'd rather burn the stuff.. i'll post video on YouTube and everybody can watch. I can't belive 90% of the offers most of you have made.

My mother said she'd rather rob a bank than see me let some of this go for what's been offered. She's got cancer but she's not stupid.

I'm thinking of taking her advice.

Anybody.. please make me some "fair" offers on any or all of this stuff..

I'm sure people made offers on what they could afford and not what you felt it was worth. Some people might have even made offers, even if they COULDN'T afford it, just to help you out. I'd say that would be pretty nice of most people.

This is a pretty good community of people here, I wouldn't go pissing on your customers so quick.

Actually.. all I had was three quotes for the entire lot.. way too low.. from people who wanted to boost their online stores inventory.. or who were trying to open brick & mortar stores.

One member DID offer me a fair price on about a half dozen items in one lot.. but I haven't gotten back to him yet.

Other than that.. all I've had is about another half-dozen "How does $10 sound for Shining Force 2 shipped?" type proposals.

I wish I'd kept them and didn't delete them almost immediately because then I could have given you several laughable examples. I don't want people to look at my situation and offer me 3 times what something is worth just to "help" me. I'd be satisfied if they didn't even take that into consideration, and made a fair market offer.. but that hasn't happened yet. In fact.. all I've seen so far are mostly lowballers either wanting to make a tremendous (for them) or people WHO obviously AREN'T taking anything into consideration.

I'm not looking for sympathy.. just a fair price. I was trying to sell console specific "lots" before now and didn't want to sell individual items or small lots, but judging from how unsuccessful that wasn't on eBay.. it looks like I'll go back to more of the same.

I'm not pissing on anybody because I've had no serious customers yet. As soon as I do though.. I look forward to more smooth transactions like I've had in the distant past.. like the ones referred to in my DP feedback.

I'm not looking for help. I'd much rather sell you a game at a market price (not DP guide quotes) than accept charity.. that way we both win.

The last time a few months ago.. when I listed a long list of games WITH prices.. all I got was smart-aleck remarks alluding to the perception that no one here would buy them, so I started selling on eBay. Then when you go and say "make offers" all you get are people who want you to sell them a $50 game for $15 and throw in the shipping. You can't win either way.

Sure if I list prices, and they're too high for someone they can just move on.. but there's always those few who have to "comment" about it (Isn't that what they call "thread-crapping"?).
