Default a stupid and probably simple question about model 1 sega cd

When you are done playing a game what is the correct method to get the game ejected and turn off the console? I know it seems stupid but there are no buttons for for it and from what I've read they are pretty easy to bread so I don't want to take any chances with it.

I am not exactly sure, but did you try pressing the CD spindle? That's how the Gamecube ejects its disks, but I had it for about 3 years before I learnt that...I had been popping them off, It's a wonder not a single game had been broken...lol

AFAIK, all you have to do is press the reset button on the Genesis to open the tray, then again to close it. After that you just power down your Genesis like normal.

Yeah, that seems to be the way to do it.

While I'm at it does anyone know what the "lock slider does? It doesn't seem to have any real function.

It holds the mixing cable in place, so it doesn't get pinched in the cd tray.
