Well it looks like nearly 2000 people disagree with you. On nearly all of the negs he got were on shipping problems. Is shipping really that bad in Canada? I find it a little odd that he would screw 60+ people out of 2000 on purpose.

He will not accept PayPal even though his auctions have the word "PayPal" in the title. He said "just because a restaurant has a visa sign in the window doesn't mean they have to accept visa"
He said his PayPal account has been put on "hold" and that it would be 10 days to a month before it was back up (there's a bad sign right there). I suggested I would pay him when it is back up. He said this wasn't an option. Satisfied?

The reason I only pay PayPal for auctions is because it's contained. If I sell something, people pay me through paypal. I don't transfer the money, I leave it for my next purchase. I don't bid on auctions that don't accept paypal. This is my system.

I've run into people like this before as well and they piss me off!

I'd pay for it and leave a negative

Tell them the auction advertised the seller accepted paypal and you won't offer other payment choice. If the seller refuses to wait, then don't bother and go on to a different auction. Do keep the email in case eBay gets a non-paying report on you, you can use the email to show the seller wouldn't accept paypal even if the auction advertised otherwise and you had no intention of using other payment method in the first place. The worse that can happen is a neg feedback that won't go away.

Use Square Trade. It won't cost you anything and if he leaves a negative but doesn't correct his mistake, Square Trade WILL take it off.

Yet another example of ebay being out of control. I remember at time long ago when they wouldn't let key word spammers get away with it, and the description (if it mentioned a payment option) had to be true.

I agree with CI on this one. He advertised that he would take paypal so I wouldn't go through with it unless he takes it.

This seller has to be one of the worse on ebay. 1) He charge 5x the actual shipping. 2) He ships games with almost no packing. 3) Doesn't want to combine shipping but he ships all the games together. 4) If you leave him a negative feedback he will leave you a negative back even if he gets your money 1 hour after the auction ends. He only leaves feedback if you give him feedback first so people leave positive feedback only because they want to receive one in return. DO NOT BUY AUCTIONS FROM cbutton5@cogeco.ca
