Default Super ColecoVision - The Best is Here

Well I've doing some prototyping on my new Super ColecoVision. I thought some of you may be interested. It features:

    Analog Audio Outputs
    Digital Coaxial Audio Output
    Digital Optical Audio Output
    Composite Video Output
    S-Video Output
    Component Video Output
    Internal Power Supply
    Standard 2-Conductor Power Plug
    New Power Switch
    New Reset Switch

The switches I'm still working on figuring out which exact models I want to go with, but all of the Audio and Video outputs are installed and fully functional along with the internal power supply.

Please let me know what you think.

It might have all those fancy connections, but does it really look or sound better than with a simple Svideo/RCA?

YES. I personally fell that the S-Video mod isn't much of an upgrage over the Composite Video, but regardless they're both 10 times better than the RF signal. The Component video is really astounding. Sharp lines, and unbelieveably vivid colors. I'm incredibly happy with it's performance. The digital audio is a little better than the analog audio, but it depends on how good your stereo receiver and speakers are though. And let's face it, it looks friggin awesome. Truly I think the best mod is the internal power supply. No more 22 year old power brick hogging up precious wall space. The new switches should be a much appreciated improvement once I decide on which ones to use. The standard ON/OFF switch is so problematic.

In the words of Kool-Aid Man: "Ohhh YEAH!!"

Will you be offering all of these mods through your web site? My CV has already been modded for composite video/audio, but I'd gladly send it to you for the power switch and power supply replacement alone. (Darn switch just broke again.)

    That's awesome. Great job!

Once I get the switches picked out I'll get pricing for all the mods posted on my website. Should be in the next couple of weeks.
