I take it they are supporting fairly new games now?

Yeah, Beatmania, Gradius IV, KoF 2000, Metal Slug 3, Cruisin' USA, Silent Scope 1/2, etc. etc. have all been added. A note of caution, however: A lot of the newer ones require CHDs, which can take up an additional 50MB-1GB HD space. Also, a lot of the newer games don't work yet, and if they do, they probably won't run full speed, even if you have a 3Ghz CPU.

Thanks for the warning. I'll just wait.. Anything after 95 I'm not really into anyway

I find that updating goofs things up as much as anything else. Yes, you get the newer games to work, but then Galaga or R-Type or something else fundamental starts acting screwy.
I just don't bother with .chd files.. they're just not worth it. Just stick to the regular old 10-gigs-ish of regular roms
How is one supposed to play Beatmania without the specialized controls? Are they replaced by simply hitting some keys?
You build your own and put it as a detachable control panel for your mame cabOriginally Posted by Lady Jaye

Couldn't you use the psx beatmania controllers, buy using the psx-usb controller thing? I had someone send me the chd for ddr, so I cna have it when they implement it. Kinda small actually.

So is Battle Balls supported yet? That and Professor Pac-Man are my last two Untamed Frontiers for MAME.

Both are MAME'd, but none are working.Originally Posted by Sanriostar

Professor Pac-Man is fine (maybe a little NVRAM issue yet, but seems perfectly playable). Battle Balls is playable, but of course suffers from the unemulated Seibu SPI graphics encryption.Originally Posted by Gapporin
Good GOD, .62 was what, 2001?! Yikes, man. At least that goes to show you've got a good hard drive - I've had two blow up on me in the interim period.
Silly Beatmania. I'm more worried about how I'm going to play Beast Busters, actually...Originally Posted by Lady Jaye
