Hmm....drop Pole Position 2 and add Centipede.

DROP KARATEKA. Replace with Ikari Warriors, post haste. Drop Realsports Baseball, put in Midnight Mutants. I'd also say drop Asteroids for Scrapyard Dog. those first 2 games suck bad...baseball is just a port of the 2600 version with better graphics, and karateka, has no excuse. As for Asteroids, it's a good version, but there are better games then it.

Karateka was just AWFUL. I think the worst game on the system!

Drop Choplifter and add Midnight Mutants! That's my favorite game on the system, and I believe the first Atari home game to have a BOSS. When my 7800 comes out, Midnight Mutants always comes out with it. Do people really like Choplifter?! I dunno. It's an OK game but just always seemed knida generic to me. I think having it on so many different consoles diluted it.

I wouldn't be so quick to drop Asteroids, though. That two-player co-op feature REALLY makes the game (same goes for Centipede 2 player co-op)! I think it's the best version of Asteroids on any system, including the arcade.

Yes, Klax. Desert Falcon should probably stay, but considering the capabilities of the 7800, DK falls a bit flat. Impossible Mission isn't really my cup of tea, either that or DK could probably go to make way for Klax.

*edit* I just noticed Pole Position 2 is still there. That could be dropped too for its non-spectacular status.

Why do people dislike Pole Position? I thought that was a very popular game... I know it was my favorite racer.

it is one of my fav 7800 games and one of the best classic racing games.

I think Pole Position is a pretty solid title...Donkey Kong is too, but I really don't think it's top 20 material.

Well the 7800 has like 73 games or something...and of those only like 10, if that, outright suck.

Pole Position 2 is a middle of the road title on the 7800, probably shouldn't be in the top 20. One the better games for the system that hasn't been mentioned is the light gun game, Alien Brigade. Fun to blast aliens.

And my own idosyncratic top ten pick would be Ninja Golf just for its goofiness but I know some people think it's a little boring.

I'd almost say Double Dragon, or Rampage (both are sweet), but I don't think either is worthy of top 20...top 30 maybe, but not 20.

I was going to sell my 7800, but after seeing all these great games, maybe I should re-hook it up and play it. Ahhh, SPACE... the final problem.

Oh well, emulators don't use much room.

Ok, so there's 59 games for it...60 if you count Senso, which seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. And we don't even know what sorta protos you guys got for upcoming CGEs...

I was unaware of a completed Klax for the 7800?

No top 7800 list can be complete without the splendid Tower Toppler.

Take out Galaga. It was a serious let-down, especially compared to the NES version, which is pretty much perfect.

Klax is complete, and was sold by ResQsoft for the past few months... now atari7800.com is selling it.

I thought Tower Toppler blew major ass, but thats me. I love 7800 Galaga more then just about every other version.
