Anyone know the advantages/ disadvantanges between US or JP Version....Modded/Unmodded....I've had a Baseball stars cart for years I want to play dammit
Hi udisi, you cant go wrong either way with a Us or Japanese Neo-Geo Aes system.I love them both the same.If you buy a Japanese Neo-Geo Aes,you will get all the "Blood" and "Bounce"everything uncut in the games. If you went with a Us Neo-Geo Aes the "Blood" and "Bounce" will be taken out of most Aes games. However you can play japanese games on a Us Aes and have the Aes games come in english but no "Blood" and "Bounce" features, this also works vice versa with Us games on a Japanese Aes with everything uncut and in Japanese. If you buy a Us Aes and get the Aes modded you can get everything from the Japanese games Uncut and in english, again this works vice versa with the Japanese Aes so all Us Aes games are uncut on a Japanese system. If you would like more info please let me know,I love Neo-Geo.

You don't need a cabinet to play MVS.
A supergun is fantastic for people without the space.
You can either build one on your own. See Captain Wrong's post in the Restoration forum, or you can buy one.
I have a Neo Geo homecart setup, and now I'm selling it, MVS is just cheaper (see Metal Slug games) and you can play all types of other PCB's with a supergun.
One option is http://www.massystems.com/ Supernova supergun, but I paid half of what they are asking for one new. A good setup, but I'm not sure how the S-video looks on it, and regular a/v makes the screen kinda wavy. Not too noticable when you're playing though.

I'm inclined to agree with Butta. I love my 'gun and all the options. If you are just in the habit to play games and not collect, MVS is for you.
Course....I suppose you could get the AES & a convertor for MVS games.
