Default Please recommend me some games I can play with one hand.

Well, like the title says I may be looking for something I can play with one hand. I will know for sure next week when I go to the doctor about when I will have surgery on my right arm. I am right handed so this will suck I'm sure.

Anyway I was trying to come up with some ideas for something I can play with one hand since I will be home 3-4 weeks. I was thinking there may be some kind of RPG or something I could do one handed. I played through Lost Odyssey a while back and I loved it but I have been unable to get into any strategy type RPG's.

I have the following systems right now so please post about any suggestions you might have. XBOX 360, Wii, NES, SNES, Genesis, PS2. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

FF12. Set up your gambits and the characters do everything and all you have to do is move around. For that very reason it's a pos.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

Diablo 2 can be use one handed. You can also try Titan Quest. Titan Quest is like Diablo clone with 3d graphics.

Yeah any turn based RPGs without time limits to take action are easily playable. It may take longer for you to select actions by moving your hand to the other side of the controller for other buttons, but you will still be able to play it.

Some classic maze style arcade games like Pac-Man can also be played one handed. Ms. Pac-Man for Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo is really nice as it has many levels to choose from and a pac-booster to give you a faster speed if you turn it on.

I'm a collector, but only to a certain extent.

warcraft III only takes the mouse from what i remember. I never used hotkeys so the left hand was not needed by me.

if you have a wii and wii sports, all games can be played with one hand. I had an injury to my left hand during work, and I could still play one of my fav games - wii sports baseball

It's pretty stunning that so many threads have been made for one-handed gaming.

I'll just say this again, but Earthbound proves once again to be one of the greatest games ever, since they made it so it can be played with only the left hand. L can be used for confirm. Select can be used for cancel. Pressing select then L brings up the menu screen. You can do everything with your left hand except ring the bell on the bicycle! (which is completely superfluous, don't worry about it)

If we're going the PC route...probally about 99% of casual games can be played with just the mouse.

Thanks, for the replies. This one may be the best yet though. I was thinking about a turn based RPG I may look into some of those. Recommendations are welcome on this to. Thanks

Pong for the PS1. It is surprisingly addictive too. If you want straight turn-based strategy then grab a copy of civ III. You can get the civ III complete and civ city rome combo for $10 at Wal-Mart last time I checked.

There is a really awesome one hand PS1 controller out there. You could probably find it on ebay w/o any problem (or here even). It might work on PS2 games as well. But, if it doesn't, any PS1 RPGs are perfect to play with it. Probably not great for action games though.

Does anyone have more info about the controller I was talking about for the OP?

By the time you're done you'll need a game you can play with 0 hands.

Also, how ya gonna get fresh without the ability to use item hotkeys, smarty pants? Moving the mouse to trigger them wastes precious reaction time.

My mind immediately went into the gutter when I saw the thread title.

I was going to suggest Metal & Lace or Leisure Suit Larry 7.

Or Super Mario Bros. Oh Princess Toadstool....

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations

And if your arm out for a really long time, throw in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. But the storyline goes to shit in that one and hopefully it'll be retconned.
