Default SAMPLE PAGES -- Classic Home Video Games 1985-1988

For those of you who have been wanting to know more about my new book, you can now view Sample Pages online.

Sample Pages of my first book are available as well.

Thanks for your interest!

Will they be availible at Barnes and Noble? That's where I usually get my books. Oh, BTW, the link to the sample pages for your first book isn't working.

Unfortunately, McFarland, a specialty publishing house, only gives booksellers a 20% discount, so most book stores don't carry their products. They sell most of their stuff online and through mail order.

Looks well-written, similar to the careful analysis I try - except I've never written a full book! Will be watching this one.

B&N is overpriced like the Starbucks coffee they sell. It will probably be cheaper just to order online, and that way the money goes straight to the author to boot.

These are great. I'll want both of them once I get a new job. I could even use it to help determine what games I would probably enjoy just by reading their descriptions.

What would be really awesome would be if you were successful and kept doing this and moved on to the 1989-1994 era and so forth. If it works you'll be able to continue making money just by having fun and writing about it.

The benefit you have from trying out all this stuff is that you get to try a little bit of everything.

I've had a blast working on these books, especially when discovering great games I'd never played before (such as Killer Bees! for the O2) and revisiting old favorites (such as Mario Bros. for the NES). Also fun was the buying trips and having a great excuse to purchase lots of games (as if I'd ever needed an excuse before).

I plan to continue the series and am working on the third volume now.

I will be sure to buy your next volume when it comes out. The last two are oustanding. Keep up the good work.

Hey, I just wanted to say I really liked your recent piece in Video Game Trader. I just got my copy yesterday, and I loved it. Great stuff.

Glad you liked it!

I have real hope for that magazine. It seems to get better with every issue.

Anyone not in the VGT loop should check out their website:
