    Won't fit. That would be connecting male to male.

    The box you linked is for TVs who accept s-video from their SCART input. It doesn't do any format encoding.

    Yeah, I thought those both looked like male connectors.

    Yeah the most basic type. It only transforms RGB to component. No upscaler, scanlines, picture resizing, or other gizmos to deal with. Any of that you can add your own as necessary.
    Like 240p 60hz input, will remain 240p 60hz output. Etc.

    An audio adapter is important to remember though!

    Which is why I'm going to mod my Genesis with stereo outputs on the back. Well that, and to get actual stereo. However, is there a converter you'd suggest that handles the audio as well?
