They began investing and researching in 2001... It doesn't surprise me that something this new (in the gaming market at least) has taken a few years to be developed.

Interesting. Now we know where the tech went!
Off topic, but has anybody else seen the touchpad Genesis controller? I recall seeing one on eBay that you could sorta move your thumb across instead of pressing a direction on the d-pad (I think).
I had an NES controller like that once. Strange.Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro

Yes, but then it probably would have just been some dumb gimmick that no one paid much attention to, instead of being a huge part of the console experience.Originally Posted by ragad

I agree completely. Same thing with the DS. No one wants to play with a stupid touchpad. . Nintendo is so stupid, with thier gimmicks.Originally Posted by ragad
I had a genesis pad years ago that used gyroscopic technology. You could move it left or right and it would move left or right, and if you sort of 'jolted it' it would press the A button.
Hah, that's exactly it.
Oh, guys, this just in:
Atari did NOT invent the joystick. Like, whoa, they had them on airplanes and stuff long before then!
I think so Brain... but how will we keep the pants on the monkeys?Originally Posted by ragad
What is the Revocon?
But the Revolution controller doesn't use gyros, it uses a more sophisticated version of the PowerGlove technology.
