Guess what everyone!?! Fried Calamari is on tonight!
Oh, and sorry 'bout that Kess. Mine died too when I had it.
Mmmm...I like eating Seaman.
What?

"I am way too lesbian for that shit."
Hahaha! And I thought some celebrity has died or something! Seriously, man, it's a freakin' videogame simulation. Just start over and you'll get other seamen.
I'd understand if it were a real, live pet, but videogames' equivalent to Sea Monkeys just don't cut it in the "mourn cuz they died" category. Otherwise, we'd all mourn whenever our fave videogame character dies... Do you also freak out and think that you killed Tony Hawk because he fell on his head one time too many in THPS2?
*And I now observe a moment of silence for that poor Stargate ship I smashed into a green alien*
*is unaware of silence*
Hello darkness my old friend.....
*fart*
A family friend got charged with Murder today. How does that sound? Now your petty little Seamen don't seem so important do they?
Thanks, guys. You really made me feel better. :x

Guys,
C'mon, cut Kess some slack here.
The whole point of a game like Seaman, if I understand it (never having played the game myself), is to try and successfully raise the seaman. I assume the game works because it gets the player to form some sort of attachment to the creature, in the same way a good movie gets you to sympathize with the on-screen characters.
Obviously Kess has an interest in the Seaman's fate, and in this thread has said nothing particularly out-of-line or inappropriate.
Lighten up.
//wonders if Ness has seen the post on the calendar :P
Anyone feel like sushi tonight?

You see, the problem is not that he gets involved in his game. It's that he insists on giving us a day-to-day report of his seamen's life to the point that we just couldn't care less.
Hey, I got an idea people! Let's each of us make a day-to-day report of our videogaming sessions. Or maybe not. Imagine:
"Monday: Did not play anything at all.
Tuesday: Played Stargate for five minutes. Sucked badly.
Switched to Tony Hawk. Sucked badly.
Threw the PSX controller in frustration.
Wednesday: Brought the GBA to work. Stopped playing after 10 minutes because I forgot to bring fresh batteries."
See how boring and tedious it'd quickly get? My point being that we don't need a play-by-play description of his Seamen game.
Well, I agree, it got tedious, but I simply didn't bother reading the posts. It seems mean-hearted to berate him over it, when avoiding the bothersome posts is so easy to do.
Well, Jaye. Some people liked my reports, and told me to continue. If one person liked it, I wouldn't stop. If you don't like it, skip over it! Its not like it was a pop-up that appeared on screen!
