While I was attending Tech School, a student posted a sale of his C-64 disk collection of over 200 disks for $25. I jumped on the deal, and ended up with over 500 games, mostly hacks, but at least 20 or so were on published disks.

I found both my Famicom and a Super Famicom at Savers. A week or two ago I found a very yellowed but functional SNES in the garbage
Got a Model 2 Genesis with a broken but fixable RF cable (and who wans to use the RF-Signals anyways), some broken but fixable Infrared-controllers for the Genesis, two dirty but functional 3-button-controllers (just needed some cleaning), AND a working Model 1 Genesis (one with HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS) printed on, all for 11 Euros. (1 Euro on ebay plus 10 for shipping; the model 1 wasn't even mentioned in the description). The seller thought it was all a bunch of trash and sold it as nonfuntional, and I was the sole bidder...
Also, on two different occasions, I found a yellowed but fully functional SNES (2 controllers, plus Super Mario World and Star Fox) and a Japanese Model 1 Genesis on different attics and could keep them for nil.
#1: Last year, in 2010, at a local Shell gas station. I was only there to buy a soda, but then in the CD shelf, filled with a bunch of brand new music albums, something caught my eye... I found a sealed copy of Zelda's Adventure for the CD-i! Roughly $15!
#2: Also last year, I managed to get a PlayStation with two controllers for roughly $10 at a GameStop not too far away. I don't know about other countries, but here in Norway that's dirt cheap. And I love the PS1.
#3: While visiting a girl in the opposite part of the country, we stopped by a garage sale, where I managed to pick up Command & Conquer: Modern Warfare(contains C&C and C&C: RA), which I'd never before seen, in addition to a couple of other games at a rather nice price.
1. Got a sega Saturn with all hookups, Albert Odyssey, dragon force, 3 dirty dwarves, dark savior and 3 other cheap games for $20 at a pawn shop.
2. River city ransom Nes cart for $5 from a kid at my hs.
3. Three complete Atari lynxes with about 20 games for $25. Not really sure if the games are worth anything. Haven't researched it yet.

I don't know if Ebay counts, but I got a Sega Game Gear, 16 games and a nice, official carrying case to hold it all for $30 including shipping.
I found all of this in early 2009 at Salvation Army. The clerk only had tiny bags and garbage bags, so I got to carry this stuff in the latter. It was fun!

Complete Shining Force 2 and Theme Park (Genesis) for $4 each (they were 3 for $10, really) from the same video store in 1999
A very large collection of my Master System collection was also 4-for-$10 from this store, and included a factory-sealed Buster Douglas Boxing, and used/complete copies of King's Quest, Ys, Golvellius, and several other gems.
Finds like these just don't happen anymore these days...
This was easily the best deal I've ever gotten.
Yeah. All that? $170. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy alone (in box, with manual) is worth well over $300 just on its own. This sale is for a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) which includes 17 games, two controllers, a game genie and all the cords to needed to play the system. All of the games are in good to excellent condition and have all been recently tested to play on this SNES. All games come with either a dust cover, original box case or plastic covered case. No game is left open to the air. Most of the games also include the original instruction manual. These are all games from my personal collection and have been kept clean and free of dust the entire time I have owned them. For most of the games I was the original owner, so you can be sure they are in excellent condition.
