Tetris 2 (NES with dust cover) - $1 (IAP)
apologies in advance for the picture overload. I went a little overboard.
Finds seemed very 'meh' this week until I was unexpectedly able to go hunting at a neighborhood sale a couple blocks away. Before that, about all I found was in this photo, and each item was between 1 and 5 bucks. All but the P&P RPGs are from Thrifts on Monday when they all have 50% off sales (Mem. day). Several thrifts on Wed. and a full morning of sales Thurs. netted only those RPG sets.
SNES w/ games for $10 (asking price) at a garage sale Fri morn.
$6 for this stuff
Then Friday afternoon at that neighborhood sale I came across these. $.50 each or 2.50 for all. I liked his price structure , so I just bought them all.
This nice minty SNES zelda I got for $10 from $15. I needed the map and 'Top Secrets'. The woman selling this also had DKC mint and a beautiful boxed system for $120. She'd looked prices up online, but actually was very reasonable about it and when I was picky about taking the price sticker off myself so it wouldn't tear the label she figured I knew what I was about and started asking me about her prices. Apparently she found an SNES at some online store for 240 and they would buy hers for 60, so she figured 120 was pretty good. I find it a bit hard to believe that a store offered 60, but oh well. She said I should come back the next day because she would lower the price, but I was too busy. Too bad, cause it really was dead mint.
Kind of the non-gaming picture. LED games, calcs, and he-man board game came to $8.50, CDs $1 each (Apollo 13, zeppelin compilations), BSG Razor $2. There should be one more old TI calc, but I can't find it. I was on bike so had to come back for this stuff, so I wonder if it got 'misplaced' out of my pile of paid for stuff.
Okay last pic:
managed to make it out on Sat. briefly and found these. PC games I got for $10 total. NES games were $1 each. There had been more, as evidenced by left-behind manuals. She said she'd been selling them for 3-5 each, and I just said it looked like most of the good ones were gone so I'd take a few at 1 each. These will just end up being bundled with a system or two I need to sell, except Dance Aerobics, which I 'needed'.

I'm not sure how much good it would do, unless you have the kiosk software. If you really want a PC in there, they don't put high-end machines in those things. Any Vista laptop with a decent video chip will do, assuming the hookups are VGA and USB. A laptop would be much more useful than a PC stuck in a kiosk.
Kind of a pricey day today
RE2, RE3, Power Stone 2, MvC2, Sonic Adventure 2, North and South - $30
2 Starfire DC guns - $20
SNES turbo controller - $1
Zelda OoT and Magical Tetris Challenge - $5
Mostly DC stuff for me today at the flea market, which is how I wanted it.
Zelda Collection - $5
-This was on a stack of DVDs. The guy said that some dude shot himself, and he ended up with all his computer stuff. He had a table full of RAM, hard drives, and general technoscrap. Everything on that table was $25, from the PCI modem to the 500gb HDD.
DC:
Space Channel 5 - $7
NCAA 2K2 - $2
Shadow Man - $6
Rippin' Riders - $4
Browser 2.0 - $1
Got these from the movies and games shop. I had to talk the guy down from $2 on the web browser... o_O
My DC collection is now 12.85% complete.
Still, that's a super steal. Power Stone 2 and MvC2 usually run $50 each alone.
Hope you have fun with Magical Tetris Challenge, it's my favorite incarnation of Tetris . The best kind for two player, and in the arcades. 1 Player is really good too, but the GBC version of the game isn't all too good on the 1 player part. So I give handheld version second best to original Tetris GB. Also, Best music ever in a Tetris game in N64 version.
Ice Climber (NES)- $5
The Rocketeer (NES)- $3
Cheapest price I've ever seen Ice Climber at around here.
This past week was rather pathedic when it came to finds. None of the garage sales I went to had anything worthwhile, and I did see one thing at Goodwill that did annoy me (A copy of Starcraft with the original jewel case...but for some messed up reason, the game disc was a burned copy). Now for my last find of the month (From Game-X-Change):
- Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis. Used in near mint condition): $2
I've heard a lot of good things about the game, and it was only $2, so I figured I'd pick it up.
I saw a case of Contra: Legacy of War for PS1 at Goodwill the other day. Inside the case, however, was Frogger. I ended up getting a CIB Marble Madness for Genesis and a disk-only Myst for PC.
Here's a few of my recent finds:
Sega 32x: Kolibri (CIB)
Gamecube: Ikaruga (CIB)
Game Boy: Mr. Do! (Loose)
EDit: D'oh. entered this topic from the search list. Most recent topic was right above it. Please kindly do the internet equivalent of hitting me over the head with a stick.
