Default please teach me how to play WWF SUPER ROFFLEMANIA

(Edit: For Genesis) I got the game (as said in the finds thread) as it was stuck into a Nomad. After the epic adventure to find a genesis power brick, I turned the game on, pressed Start a bunch of times (so Medium difficulty), and found myself in a match.

Ultimate Warrior (from parts unknown) versus Shawn Michaels.

    I can't lose, right?

I move left, get grappled, thrown, grapple again, thrown again and then jumped on. Then another throw and stomped on again. Soon afterwards I'm out for the count. Playtime - maybe 20 seconds (maybe an exaggeration to make myself look good).

I think maybe I got a kick in near the beginning.

    I need a plan B. Any ideas?

Get a controller with turbo functions.

I hate many wrestling games because it's not about skill, it's about how fast you can press the buttons. And you'll -never- win against an opponent that never tires out.

I'm a Super Wrestlemania veteran. That game plays a little like Pro Wrestling for NES. Basically you got to spend a little time just punching and kicking your opponent to wear him down before grappling. Sounds boring? It is.

If you do this, though, you're more likely to win the random grapples that way. The trick is to push the grapple button as fast as you can to "win" the lock-up, which allows you to do moves like a suplex or body slam. If your opponent has full energy, you have to push it a whole lot faster. Hence the strategy of a one-dimensional punch and kick offense.

    Thanks.

I guess that leads to a second question...which I guess I already know the answer to - there isn't a fun way to play this game, is there?
