Eprom on NES Panesian game dieing.

I just recently got a Panesian game for the NES called Bubble Bath Babes. The game works, starts up, music plays and so fourth but the graphics are a little scrambled. I have cleaned it thoroughly and tried it in 4 different NES's and still no luck. My friend said it is most likely that the eprom is dieing in it and said it can be fixed. Would anyone have the least bit idea how I would go about doing this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

If this game uses a separate graphics chip like most licensed NES carts, I can see how the eprom might be corrupt and it would have those symptoms. You'd have to remove the chip and reflash it with a good dump, this would require the following equipment:

Soldering iron
Solder sucker or desoldering braid
eprom programmer
Replacement eprom or UV eprom eraser if you wanted to re-use the original chip.

Nothing too expensive if you're a do-it-yourselfer with the exception of the programmer and eraser. You could always get in touch with someone to reprogram the eprom for you. Personally I'd wire a socket in there to facilitate future reflashing.

If you use a camera with flash, cover the windows on the chips if they are exposed, with a square of electrical tape or something to keep the light out.

Chip on the right says :

TMS 27C512JL ALDP8844

Chip on the left says:

027256-1 U751122MS
PGM 12.5 V

Bottom left smalled Chip:

GoldStar GD74LS161A 9126

The 27C512 is the graphics chip.
