Using Firefox, downloading from romnation

I'm hoping beyond hope that someone else has run into this problem and found a solution.

I'm downloading roms from http://romnation.net using firefox as I can't stand IE (for security reasons mainly).

So here's the problem--I'm using a (shudder) dial-up connection, and as those of you who are into emulation know, many of those rom files (especially the good games) are gigantic.

The problem with Firefox? No reliable resume function in the download manager.

I usually use a command line utility called WGET for my downloading needs.

AH but it doesn't have any way of monitoring clicks or otherwise capturing links. So I install Flashgot and have it point to Leechget.

But here's the problem: romnation uses image check verification for downloads. That means you must look at a little randomly generated gif file with numbers on it and type those in a field. Clicking the OK next to it launches the "save as" dialog in Firefox.

Flashgot will not pass the download link to a download manager. I've tried several. It launches the external program but no link is present. I've tried all the options that I can think of.

Realistically all I really need is a program that will catch that URL somehow before it gets handed off the firefox. Then I could just paste it into my little dosbox and send WGET on its merry way.

So far the posters in the firefox forums haven't come up with anything useful.

Any ideas--please share.

Go to an internet cafe and download to a USB stick, or something. Dialup isn't worth it.

I forget, isn't talking about ROM aquisition not allowed here? Anyway, surely there's some FF extension that will help you out.

Thanks for the help guys. Luckily I got in contact with Flashgot's creator, and he taught me a few tricks.

I apologize if I've posted a forbidden topic--the description mentioned emulation, and you can't emulate anything without a rom image.
