Not sure if this what it will look like at retail, but this is what I got when I picked up my final version of it today.

So, will all retail versions come with fake mustaches too?
lol what a cover The game looks pretty cool tho, just checked out a video preview.
That would be totally cool...if the cover was a picture of Wario's face and the moustache was over his face in the place where his moustache should be. But the cover is not just a picture of Wario's face, it's an action shot with perspective, so the moustache doesn't fit into the cover at all. It just looks like they had some office lackey randomly slap a fake moustache on there. Pointless.

A lot of places, not just Golin Harris, do stuff like that. Sometimes its t-shirts, like with NSMB, sometimes its a barf bag (Starfox DS) and sometimes its a Rubicks Cube (Capcom Puzzle World).
The DS Light box was priceless, too.
Its cute, and a nice change from the standard FedEx Express envelope.

I'm guessing this won't be in the retail version, and if its not, one of you feel free to contact me with a price your looking to get for the game with stache
Sweater Fish Deluxe: Yes, but Golin Harris handles the Nintendo PR accounts. I even got a Mario CLOCK on the Mario Party 6 game for GCN (that had Mario Art in the clock, and it was GLUED to the packaging) so it's hard to say, I know once you open the packaging, it's basically gone unless you are careful with the wrap, but they are always sending out neat promo stuff, just not on packaging very often. I just thought it was cool, I don't think it's an actual VARIATION at all, just a promo sent by Nintendo's PR company.
Well, I guess it's done what PR is supposed to do: get your attention. It's just that it would be a lot more clever if the moustache actually fit into the cover design rather than just being some even-later-than-last-minute afterthought.
Back in the days of vinyl records, this sort of stuff was common, but I the uniformity of the CD format more or less killed it in the music industry (except for Negativland albums).
