Feedback thread here
Well my power just came back (was out for about 24 hours) Bought two generators and 1 hour later the power comes back on lol figures.
Anyway I figure i'll post my own numbers too since I hadnt yet.
PS3- 6 (not counting market games)
Wii- 21 (not counting virtual console)
360- 90 (not counting arcade)
PSP- 125 or os
DS- hovering around 200 (plus or minus 5)
My main systems are DS and 360 - 360 is complete, DS is missing around 30 games
Of the games asked about, I have only a DS. I have 7 games for it, plus a pair of GBA games I can play on it. Of other current systems, I have about 62 games for the GameCube, 75 games for the Xbox and 52-55 games (not exactly sure) for the PS2.
DS about 35
Wii about 7 or 8
x360 about 13
I don't buy every game for every system, only the ones I want to play, so here's what I've got:
360: 5
Wii: 3 (including Wii Sports)
PSP: 25
DS: 32
PS3: Zip...not getting one ANYTIME soon.
scooterb: "I once shot a man in Catan, just to watch him die."
I'd say it speaks volumes for how terrible the ps3 launch was when it looks like every major current gen collector that has posted so far has each had more wii games than ps3... I dont think it is a matter of there being less ps3 games since a lot of them had at least 1 ps3 game. I'm pretty disappointed with the ps3 lineup so far. I mean really the only post launch game that was desirable so far was full auto, wii has already had several appealing post launch games.
PS3 - 2
Wii - 2
360 - 6 (plus those three BK games)
DS - 8
PSP - 18
I'm also going to go against the trend here and say that Im not that thrilled with the Wii. I think it is for a certain type of (vocal on forums) gamer. Sports is pretty fun, but I dont find it grabbing my attention away from Gears of War and Resistance: Fall of Man at all. The only time it gets use is when (non-gamer) friends are over. I like the system and I dont have regrets about picking it up, but to me, it really seems like a Game Cube with a decent gimic controller. Red Steel, which was a kind of litmus test for me in terms of how the Wii might handle the traditional types of games I enjoy, I found to be abysmal.
The PS3 launch was pretty bad (worse than the 360 I think), but I did manage to get one at retail without waiting in line and without any preorders by just getting luck at Best Buy and Resistance is one of the best FPS games I've ever played (incl PC). That plus Ridge Racer is enough for me for the PS3 since I have so many other systems anyhow. I think people exaggerate the importance of launch titles these days. With this generation of hardware, there are very few "new" users. Most people have PS1, PS2 and probably even an XB or GC at the very least sitting around. The PS3 doesnt have to provide a huge catalogue of launch titles to have done its job in demonstrating value to the installed base of PS2 owners who are the main target market for Sony. To appeal to those PS2 fans all it really had to do was demonstrate a real jump in horsepower and potential and I believe it has done that. The real problem Sony has is that the price is too high and they need more product in the channel.
DS: 1, not opened
I feel pretty good just because I found a copy of MGS3 for $10 - but I don't even have a PS2. So, I'm pretty well behind the times on the console front.
360- Around 15
DS- Around 10
PSP- Around 8
PS3- None
Wii- None
Not too many, really. Out of those systems, I only own a DS. I think I have 6 or 7 games.
I own a couple for each....
DS- 154
PSP- 179
PS3- 6 (Resistance, Full Auto 2, RR7, NHL 2K7, COD3, Untold)
360- 83
Wii- 17
