I get motion sickness from FPS games. Only that. Nothing else makes me sick.

The only games that made me sick were Halo and the absolute worst, Mohawk & Headphone Jack.
only when I try playing in the car. If I am on a train however I am fine.
I've only gotten vertigo playing games ONCE but I can't remember what game it was.. hmm.. However I remember it was a game I played an awful lot of so I figured that there were other things at work that time. Surprised the hell out of me just the same. Don't even think it was anything with extreme movement.
Years ago when trade shows were promoting VR displays and games as the wave of the future I got a little screwy feeling after a few of them. This was because of the early state of the hardware, bad motion to video sync and all that.

Most 3D and first person games can get me motion sick. My first experience with it was when I played Wolfenstein 3D. My head hurt very badly after playing that. It's not a normal headache either. It takes a long time for the pain to go away.
So I obviosuly steer clear of most of those type of games.
Some I can play for a few minutes or up to an hour but for some reason some 3D games I can actually play without ill effect. Whether it's framerate, decent color display in the screen environment or whatever else who knows.

I don't in the slightest, but I know my dad couldn't watch me play GoldenEye when I got a N64 back in the day and my Fiance has a hard time watching me play FPS games every once in a while.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Halo got me sick, it was the first since Wolfenstein. Interestingly Halo 2 does not get me sick.
Same here. No sickness, headaches, nothing. I've played Halo on the PC on multiplayer servers for 10 hours straight when it finally came out too. :POriginally Posted by Pantechnicon
Yeeeesh! x_x I couldn't imagine that. I've never heard of that game either, I'll look into it.Originally Posted by Daria
But seriously, I feel bad from all the stories I'm reading here. I've just never understood it personally.
Ugh, that game makes me sick, but not from motion sickness. Lame Descent rip-off I got free when I bought Turok 2 for the PC, and it wasn't even worth that much.Originally Posted by mezrabad
My first PC games and favorite game of all-time.
Here's a wried story. When I was a kid my mom and I played Super Mario Kart about every day. So a few months ago, we decided to try it again after not playing it for years. It made us both sick. Funny thing is, it never happened before. Also, I tried once to play Wacky Racers on my GBA player, and it done the same thing. Something with cart racers I guess :hmm: .
And my mom also can't play F-Zero GX without getting sick, I can however.
I have never ever got motion sickness from my games UNTIL I was playing Call of Duty 2 (xbox360) on my brother-in-law's 65" HDTV. That thing is so big that all of us in the room had to limit play to just a few minutes. The fact that we were only 3 feet from the thing also helped make it worse![]()
I get a stomachache when I play the 3D Combat remake for the PC.
I've never gotten sick myself - but my wife gets motion sickness from 3D adventure games... I tried getting her interested in gaming a bit during the PS1 hey day with Spyro, Spyro Ripto's Rage, and Crash Bandicoot and all of a sudden she got totally sick and that was the end of that!

I never seem to get motion sick while playing games. I'm pretty good as long as I'm not moving. Lately I've been getting weird motion sick in cars and buses, other moving transportation. Instead of motion sickness, I tend to get dry eyes and tired if I play too long.
For some strange reason the game "DOOM" for the 32X system makes me physically nauseated after 10 minutes of playing into it...Probably because of the eye restrain looking into the frame that this particular game screen has.

Any 2d game with a bad framerate.
Very few modern games on modern systems have made me ill and the only games that have have caused headaches.
Road Rash on the megadrive I could only play for short periods, it once gave me a really bad headache back in the day, replaying it today I still start to feel a bit 'off' after about 1/2 hour.
Hydlide (NES) is a fun game to play, but The music makes me want to tear off my ears and the graphics are pretty blegh too.

The only game to make me feel sick to my stomach is Prey (360). I guess that's why I hate the game so much.
If I play Morrowind for too long I start to feel carsick![]()
Any virtual boy game. I have to lay on my back to not get sick.

I've yet to have any game make me physically ill just from playing it. I used to get motion sickness, but that was a long time ago while I was still a kid.
Any Guitar Hero if played for too long. First the walls start moving on me, then I get a headache. I need to play that game in relatively short bursts.
