Default FYI: PS2 Fighter Fans...HRAP stick back in stock...

Arguably the best arcade stick on the market. The Hori Real Arcade Pro is back in stock at Play-Asia...

Just keep in mind that shipping on this beast is more than the cost of the stick itself. These usually show up at Play Asia or Lik-Sang for a few days then disappear for 8-10 months. If your a fighter fan and don't own a HRAP yet...do yourself a favor and pick one (or two) up.

Yes it is. But it's much harder to do than modding the HRAP stick. There is a Tekken modding guide here:

    Tekken 5 JLF Mod

Also the HRAP is available at www.vgonetwork.com for the cheapest price ANYWHERE. They're in the US too.

    It's the HRAP1 version 2 too.

For feedback on VGO / HS sales visit the shoryuken.com forums in the trading/outlet forum.

Tons of people have done business with them.

Nice but I'll stick with my PSX hori stick I found for $8. Hori is the only way to go for arcade sticks.

Then again I'm no markman, so I'm shure he knows somthing I don't.

I personally can't really recommend the Hori Real Arcade Pro Stick. I own one myself that I imported back in November of 2005. I bought it mainly for shmup purpouses, but also for the U.S. released tournament fighters. All I have to say is, with just exlusive use to 2D shmups and the Taito Memories Vol. 1 collection, my up switch constantly gets stuck... This started happening after only 2 months, and I'm not agressive with the stick. It's very frustrating, because I'll be playing something like Gradius III, and all of a sudden I'll crash and die because the up switch won't register. I have to jab at the stick to get it back to functionality.

I'd be willing to open it up, but I'm reluctant to do so since I've never opened an arcade stick with switches in it.

Sorry to hear that, from my experience I haven't had any problems with any of the Hori RAP series.

The best thing to do is check the connector on the up direction for the JLF stick. It's possible that it cound be loose.

It's not hard to open up and put back together. Since everything is quick disconnects it's easy to unplug/plug the parts.

Sounds like a problem with the stick itself as I assure you the stick is a solid stick. But like all controllers preference plays a huge factor. You know how that is.
