How many games have you still not played in your collection?

I am finding out as I start to aquire more and collect more in the classic games dept. that I have a bunch of games still yet to really play and enjoy (besides initial "working game test" on cartriges etc) I even have a bunch of modern games (PS2 XBOX 360) To still finish even. I know I will eventually find the time to play a bunch of the games that I picked up and enjoy the memories or even check out for the first time. Unfourtunantly you can only play one game at a time though So I was wondering how many of you have a ton of games you still have yet had the chance to sit and enjoy playing. I'm sure it must be tough with those of you that have really large collections.

I have a stack of PS2 games that I either received as gifts or bought that are still sealed.

Probably around 200 give or take. I find large amounts of games for sale at an inexpensive price and buy them. I guess Ill get around to buying them eventually.

Do you mean totaly untested or "only played for 5 min" ?Almost all games in my collection have been tested. I still havnt got around to play some GBA games i have. I also have a PS2 game i still havnt tested.

I hate having those little 'U's in my collection database and am determined to wipe them out by any means necessary. :-p

Depends on what you mean by 'played'.

Many of the fighting games for the PS1, I haven't sat down and really played much of (except WWF Smackdown 2, only because I could build myself and do a few seasons). I've also got games on the Genesis and SNES that I haven't really played since I got 'em... not to mention several newly acquired carts for my Atari, including two AA homebrews that I played enough to understand what they were, but haven't touched. Not that they're bad, I just haven't had time or the inclination to, well, spend a day just playing video games.

You are definitely not alone in fact IIRC I made a topic just like this years back. It's certainly been asked before and a lot of us classic gamers especially are finding ourselves in this very boat. The backlog is ludricrous (sp?)

For me I own about 130 Genesis games and 130 NES games. I probably haven't even tested 120 of my NES games and 115 of my Genesis games!

SNES wise I own around 400 and probably haven't played 350 of them yet.

We all know that familiar tune all too well -- "one day I'll get to it." At some point or another, we never will, and that's just the way things are. Many of us I'm sure will end up selling part or much of our collection away one day.

Right now you might be thinking "No way!" but it's funny how one can change in a year's time, let alone 5.

(in 2001 I loved the Saturn, and did throughout 2005. I built up a collection of as many as 330 titles, but now am down to 195. I never imagined in my wildest dreams I would downsize it like I did)

My collection has been shrinking rapidly, but of the 50 or so games I own, I've played all but 5 or so PS2 games that are just waiting their turn.

I honestly beleive that I haven't played half my games.
(Played meaning doing more than just testing a cart for 2 min)

I played Ninja Gaiden (XBOX) at a demo unit in Gamestop when it came out. Later on a friend of mine bought it for cheap, didn't like it and gave it to me. that was over a year ago, and I still haven't opened the case.

That, and there's a stack of Genesis games I got in a lot that I still haven't played.

On Xbox I have 29 still sealed, 18 opened but unplayed.
On PS2 I have 38 still sealed, 82 opened but unplayed.



As I roll back previous generations, it only gets worse. I suffer from an acute disease called, "OHHHH, SHINY!"

Hundreds, I run a game store and get first pick of the second
hand, i also get games at cost price so i seem to get more
and more every week with less and less time to play them :/

Like many here, I have a rather large backlog. I just am in the habit of buying games that are on sale, and taking 2+ years to get around to playing them!

Fewer now that I've decided to use my Mega Jet for some convenient Mega Drive game playing. I can truthfully say that the first time I played an actual Hard Corps cartridge I beat one of the scenarios (the "prehistoric dope" one)

I need to really put some stuff together and keep playing things, though. Also should try to sell some of the stuff I have no interest in.

I have about 300 sealed PC games that I have yet to play, along with about 50 DC, 100 PS1 and 10 or so Saturn... Not to mention my new NES games I just got (waiting for the machine to arrive before I get the chance of playing them)

Oh and Hitman Contracts & Moto GP 06 on the 360. Have played through the first sections of them both, but that's about it

I find that the older I get the easier I get distracted.

I am glad I have my collection. I know I won't beat every game untiil the credits roll but it is there to be beat.

Here is the weird part when I read someones review or a post on a game I have I feel an excited attachment even though I haven't beaten the game. knowing someday.

I've got heaps of modern games that I haven't played, mainly because I can't resist buying them when they're cheap as they are lately. I've got a lot of classic games that I haven't played either. A lot of 5200 games (I haven't hooked mine up because I hate the joystick so much), a few CD-i games (just not all that interested), a massive amount of Memorex VIS programs (nearly all edutainment and kids's stuff), and some various Atari 2600 and Sega Saturn and Game Gear games. I've recently found a working Colecovision (as well as any 23 year old Colecovision really works, which isn't all that well) so i've finally played the 35+ games i've built up for it. And i've recently picked up several Turbo games, but I haven't felt like digging my TurboGrafx-16 out to play them on.
