Cr*ppy games you just can't find "complete"..

OK.. crappy is probably a harsh word born out of my frustration; common would be more like it. You know.. the kind of game you can find 50 copies of on ebay at any given time, but all are loose; a few have manuals and not ONE has a frickin' box/case.. ever.

For months I've been looking for a complete Robocop vs. Terminator for the SNES with the cool hard plastic outer shell.. nuttin'.

For about two years I've been searching for a complete Wacky Worlds (including mouse) for the Genny (I have a bare cart and manual) and have yet to see one except for the dealer who wanted close to $100 for a sealed copy on evilBay once.

Kinda' along the same note.. I've been searching for a sealed copy of Maximum Carnage for the Genny for years as well. I want one sealed because it seems it's the only way to get one with the "sticker" on the front proclaiming there was a red cart inside.. so I'm figuring the stickers were always on the outside of the shrinkwrap. I've seen several "complete" open copies.. minus the sticker.

Mario Paint I guess would be another for me. The closest I ever have come to complete was a copy I bought years back listed as so, but when it arrived had everything except the plastic or cardboard shell that holds it in the box.. sheesh.

Anyone else have any peeves like this? That they just can't seem to find? I'm not talking about rares or HTFs either mind you.. I'm talking about games that were so popular that practically everybody had them one time. Aaaarrrgghh!

And please.. let's not turn this into a discussion about how "anal" it is to collect complete games either. To each his own; and it's been done to death.

Strawberry Shortcake on VCS. Never see a boxed version, and any unboxed game of this title usually has a beaten up label too (silly children).

wow thats odd just keep on looking you will find them eventually one day !!! ive found most of those in early 90's ...

Well that's why doj! You found them way back in the 90's! There aren't any around anymore! Maybe you could tell me something though? Does a complete copy of WW come with a mouse pad as well? Ya' know.. like the one you got when you buy the boxed mouse separately by itself? I've always wondered. Oh yeah! .. and please tell me where the little yellow sticker proclaiming a red cart inside limited edition MC is.. I've never seen one except in eB stock photos. Thanks!

I had a complete one (with the plastic case)...I sold it for like $2 at a yard sale 3 years ago, before I started collecting.

Same story for me w/ Frogger II. I've not seen a Frogger II with a decent label. Sky Skipper and Super Cobra seem to have the same problem too...I'd think it was a Parker Bros. issue, but Frogger and ESB are usually fine.

The Wacky Worlds I picked up at Half.com had a mouse and a soft rubber mouse pad. The box has seen better days though. Keep searching and I'm sure you'll run across one eventually.

What kind of hard plastic case did Robocop vs. Terminator come in? I don't recall ever seeing one of those.

I "inherited" Mario Paint from my daughter. She kept everything except that ginormous box it came in. I haven't spent much effort looking for a replacement box simply because I could never imagine myself wanting to color pictures on my TV. That's probably why I keep picking up and then putting back all the copies of PS2's Magic Pengel I keep running across.

The toughest "game" for me to find complete is Hologram Time Traveller by Digital Leisure. I think it has two versions, one that says for the PS2 on the cover and one that says for the Xbox. It's really just a game that can be played on any DVD player, as far as I know. I have run into so many copies of that game and they never have either the manual for it or the 3D glasses that came with it. SIGH :/

I buy loose PB carts sometimes for the mystery and they are almost always Spider-Man for some reason. Occasionally Frogger.

Great basketball , Sega Master system PAL took me a fair while to find complete (with manual). Looks like someone tracked down 90% of them and burned all their manuals.

It's almost impossible to come by now, because the second the cardboard got the slightest bit worn (or thrown out), it was useless for anything other than a cool-looking cover.

Holy crap that looks neat! I can't recall ever seeing a boxed SNES Robocop vs Terminator. You'd think it being plastic it would have survived better than the cardboard boxes, unless there's a brittle factor involved. Gotta keep my eye out for that one.

Scorch56, about Wacky Worlds. It's been awhile since I bought that game used and I do remember it arriving with a mouse pad included. The reason I remember is because the pad was shrink wrapped to the outside of the box and was too big to have fit inside of it. Perhaps that's the way the game was sold, but the only mouse pads I could find around now here are the regular Sega MegaMouse pads. I would think Wacky Worlds would have had it's own unique mouse pad. The outside of the box mentions a mouse is included, but does not say anything about a mouse pad. The mouse controller instructions that were inside the box do mention using it on the included mouse pad though. It could be that the game came with a standard Sega mouse and mouse pad or it could be that the seller just added some generic stuff to sell it as complete. So, I'm afraid your going to have to figure out for yourself what a complete Wacky Worlds included. I just didn't want to give you a bum steer based on what I recieved from my seller.

Really? That's interesting! As a kid, I remember the Christmas I got The Empire Strikes Back and my sister got Strawberry Shortcake. When I went over to my dad's to get all our old Atari stuff, the boxes were still there with everything else. So really, it was one of the first two boxed Atari 2600 games I had!

Same reason I keep thinking my boxed version of Cybermorph for the Jaguar must be rare.

Chubby Cherub and Wayne's World for the NES. Almost impossible to find especially Chubby Cherub. Last complete copy sold for over $70 on ebay when you can buy the manual and game together for $5 on ebay. I have yet to find the box for Wayne's World. Actually, I've probably seen it before but never took notice. Now that I'm looking for it, I can't find it anywhere.
