What's even sadder than you knowing how to spell his name properly is you defending itOriginally Posted by zmeston
Just kidding of course. FYI: I'm not saying it's bad, just that I found it to be the first funniest 'unintentional' bit to come to my sad little mind. The fact taht he's in a 3DO game has always killed me (and *all* FMV kills me).
Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
I love beating up the foot soldiers in TMNT II for the NES. You hit a guy in a ninja suit a couple times, he falls down, then, for some inexplicable reason, EXPLODES. ("Watch those lackies, they're volatile!")
Then there's the guy outside the Saith bar in Lunar: SSSC, who calls it "The most wretched hive of scum and villainy I've ever seen...Plus, the beer is watered down!" All right, it's not unintentional, but I just found that game and I'm thinking of naming my firstborn after the translator. (Er, localizer. Whatever.)
The original foot clan were robots, although this has been changed in the new cartoon.Originally Posted by Dahne
Until Kaine23 mentioned it, I was like "What about "spoony bard?" that is the ultimate! Well, apart from "All your base are belong to us," but that thing is largely funny due to the cult following it has rather than the fact that large amounts of people actually played the game itself and found it funny.
The voice-acting in SotN is pretty hilarous, too. That librarian: "what can I DO for you?!" hahahaha
The REALLY funny (or should I say odd) thing is that as bad as the voice-acting in SotN is it doesn't ruin the game or make it anything less than a superb classic.
when you finish Super Star Wars on the SNES, Luke's X-Wing flies into sight, and basically moves down the screen as if it were some kind of cardboard cut-out.
A+ to Lucasarts for that one. it's pretty dodgy.![]()
Any tennis videogame is a glorified version of pong.
I'd third Resident Evil's horrid voice acting! Also, in Golden Eye when you shoot a guy in the butt, he yelps and jumps up rubbing his ass! lol
Then there was taking a wizz with Duke Nukem 3D.
I'd really like to hear a sound clip of that!Originally Posted by calthaer

Any wonder my parents didn't think I was warped from all the weird stuff I did in that game.

Then there was the time I snuck up on a scientist in the Caverns stage and placed a timed mine right under his legs. He just stood there, like nothing was happening, then BOOM! He actually flew like 10 feet in the air. MY GAWD, I never laughed so hard.....
Although it was not funny at first, but I remember the time I shot 3 entire clips of 30 bullets each at a friend in multiplayer and not one damn bullet hit him. When I look back on that, I laugh...
Oh wait, this is supposed to be for all games, not just Goldeneye 64...![]()
How about in Bionic Commando for the nes when one of the enemy soldiers called you a nerd. I believe the exact quote was something like, "Get outa the way you nerd!" It's bad enough when real people call you a nerd, but when your' video games doing it, well, it really makes you think!
Be excellent to one another. Party on dudes!
didn't read all the replies....but how about when mario reaches the top of the vine in SMB 1......if you keep pressing up it looks like he pullin one off![]()
Anyone remember on the old ezboards there was a topic for "funniest moments" in games. Who was it that posted that one game where there were these 2 gay looking guys (I think it was some puzzle games).. anyway it was a series of pics showing progressively more gayer activity then the poster at the end put in his own hand drawn picture at the end. It was hilarious! Who did that? Anyone remember? And what game was it?
I'm sorry I'm real bad with the details![]()
first time I played "Doshinden" on gamecube:
I trampled some people dead and suddenly a little flower appeard where they died under my giant legs......I broke down laughing seeing this.
Wolfenstein 3D's voice acting is also good for a big laugh
"Mein lehbenn"
same goes to german version of "Medal of Honor:Frontline":
"Ami-schwein!" and my fav "Du Hans, host du a wos ghört?"
I'd suggest everyone check out the first 10 minutes of Jade Cacoon 2 for the PlayStation 2. Besides being a surprisingly good game, you WILL have a long, hard laugh at the wording of a few lines. Trust me.
ha ha ha. I think so.Does "You spoony bard!!" in FF4 count?I always laugh at that. And I agree with the SOTN acting.
"You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!" :P
~"You can't make an omlette without destroying a forest... or something" -Black Mage (From 8-bit Theater)~
Un-intentionally funny?
How about the entire game of The Bouncer? Or Daikatna![]()
Actually, there's a great little trick you can do with Bloody Roar: Primal Fury on the Game Cube.
Choose the bat girl and the main character guy (I think it's him). When you push the two together, and wait a second or two for the animation to synch with each other, it looks like the Bat Girl is...uh...rubbing him the right way with her forward hand. It'll only work with the right guy character though, due to the height.
"Surrender, or die in obscurity!" from final fantasy tactics
also someone brought up Bad Dudes...but the ending...where you go eat a hamburger with the president...we used to get a kick out of that.

That would be me, and the game (gayme) is TumblePop. I think I can find the images in one of my image host acounts. Or you could play it in Mame.
Here ya go:

I'd have to say Super Bust-a-Move 2 on the PS2. The cut-scenes feature beautiful cartoony graphics and are promptly ruined whenever a character talks - the voice acting is just utterly abysmal. I laughed the first time through but the second time it was just too painful to listen to!
Thankfully they dumped it all for the Cube version!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the original Final Fantasy. Remember this?
I, Garland, will knock you all down!![]()

Not in the actual game itself but in the new Rebel Strike game when you start it up and all the Star Wars characters are disco dancing, I still laugh everytime I think about itand also in Legacy of Kain 2 when the humans see Kain and they start screaming and running away, I find that hilarious and I think I laughed throughout the entire General Chaos game for the Gen

You Ask: What Do You Play? And I Say: What Do You Got!
Egad.
I love you guys, in a no-sexula way.
Hit me up on Xbox live or if you live in the Toledo area. Always down to play. Live ID: Spoontoss
"Uh-oh. The truck have started to move!"

- Metal Gear (NES)
A recent event happened when playing Chrono Cross. I had just bought it, and a friend of mine who loves the game came over to play it. The first time I saw Poshul, I laughed so hard that fell off my chair and was rolling on the floor. My friend was shrieking like a two-year old schoolgirl. And then came Mojo....
Oh yeah, and playing Megaman 3 the first time and finding out there's a character named Hard Man.
Whoever wins, the battle doesn't end. The loser is freed from the battlefield, but the winner must remain there, and the survivor must live his life as the warrior until he dies.
Good topic. Does the box art for FFX count?
Also, for some reason, Eternal Darkness didn't really put me in a spooky mood. So being far-removed from the game, there were some funny moments--like the oh-so scary voice that gives you clues...
