Newer NIN on Rock Band and did 1942 FINALLY come out?
Not that anyone but myself cares, they re-released the first Marathon Map pack as well as adding the second pack. A bunch of new multiplayer levels, some new achievements all for 800 points and a huge 10mb for both packs.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

This Wednesday's game - Geometry Wars 2.
Bionic Commando Rearmed also got a definite release date today. And it's sooner than you think.
The releases for August will be:
August 6 - Braid (never heard of it)
August 13 - Bionic Commando Rearmed
August 20 - Galaga Legions
August 27 - Castle Crashers (finally)
Geometry Wars 2. Roll on Wednesday, roll on.
Geometry Wars 2 is a far cry better than the first one.
I like the addition of collecting geons, and the ability to unlock different game modes, over time.. Not to mention the achievements seem a little easier than the first game. Now I have to go get a points card, to buy this, and for the rest of this months releases.
And Ninja Gaiden 2 players - the Mission mode is (again) available for 800 MS points.
Also, according to Xbox Japan, Braid is going to cost 1200 MS points, and Castle Crashers will cost 1800 - yikes!

I'm really loving Geometry Wars 2, especially the Pacifism mode (which was my favorite achievement in the last GW). It really is worth the 800 points I paid for it, which is good since I bought the card today, bought the game, downloaded and interrupted the demo of the Penny Arcade game to test that bitch.![]()
Good news - 3 XBLA games, this week!
Bad news - Out of the 3, only Shred Nebula looks interesting.
The other 2 games are Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball, and Gin Rummy.
Lets talk Wednesday...
We got Rocketbowl, Shotest Shogi, whatever the fuck that is.
Oh, and some game called Samurai Showdown 2.....
It must suck, because it's only 400 points![]()
Dude, Rocketbowl, and a Shogi game? I'm going to be in for those.

GTA: San Andreas (1200 MS points) is available for download today via XBL. I'm sure at this point, most people that had any interest in playing this game have already played it. However, the Xbox version is graphically light years ahead of the dark and muddy PS2 version (even playing it on the PS3 can't help this thing). The downloadable 720p version of GTA:SA could very well pass for an early 360 game if it wasn't for the bland textures. It's crisp looking and surpasses the PC version from a few years ago IMO.
I would think this downloadable version has a pretty limited audience. Especially considering all the must-have games dropping right now. Even so, it's nice to have the definitive version of this game available to play right from the 360 dashboard.
At one point I had the PS2 and Xbox versions but ended up selling the Xbox version on ebay. My rationale at the time was even though the Xbox version looked better, I had 60+ hours of progress on my PS2 save file vs. 5 hours or so on the Xbox. Now that I have this new version, I can't wait to start a new game. If I can even fit it in, that is. Too many good games, too little time.

It's an "Xbox Original" or whatever, right? And they don't offer achievements, right?
I agree with what you've said (I beat GTA: SA on my PS2 back in the day), although I'd be tempted to pick it up *if* it offered me Achievements. I *loved* SA - so much so that at first I was down on GTA IV. By the time I beat IV, though, I came to love it equally I figure, maybe a little more.
