Default How many did you beat in 05?

So how many games did you beat in 2005 and wich one was your favorite?

I myself beat 51 games in 2k5 and enjoyed almost every minute of it.

I'm picking two favorites for the my year in gaming.

Jak 3 and RE 4. Both are beutifful and highly engrossing games. Love em both.

I'm not sure I beat a single game. I started on quite a few, but didn't have the attention span to keep going. This year I've resolved to finally beat Beyond Good and Evil, Resident Evil 4, Chronicles of Riddick, Pikmin 2, and Rastan.

    51! That's one a week!

I didn't scratch that number, but I did have my own fun. Lets see, from the long dead thread...

    Gcube:
    Tales of Symphonia
    Resident Evil 4

    PS2:
    ICO
    Xenosaga Episode II
    God of War
    Suikoden IV
    Katamari Damacy
    Shadow of the Colossus

    Xbox:
    Panzer Dragoon Orta
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
    Fable
    Burnout Revenge

    Xbox 360:
    Kameo
    Project Gotham
    Perfect Dark Zero

    GBC:
Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening DX

    GBA:
    Sword of Mana

    DS:
    Feel the Magic: XY/XX
    Trace Memory
Pac n Roll (Except for that last fucking level. Impossible)

    PC:
    Half-Life 2
    Doom 3
    Half-Life

    PSOne:
    Final Fantasy VII (again)

So thats 24 total... meh, not a very good year.

I'm already starting off the new year well though. Already finished FFIV Advance (started it last year though) as well as Guitar Hero and Dead or Alive 4. Time to really dig into Dragon Quest VIII and Condemned.

    2.

Yep, that's right. 2. As in two, twice, double, a pair, deux.

    Fable and Minish Cap.
I did finish Halo 2 last weekend, but the bulk of it was played over the last few months of 2005. So it's more like 2 and 7/8 games beat in 05.

I'm probably the most pathetic. I only beat RE4 this year and got the game the day it came out for cube. Beat it like 1 month later.
One thing I have a problem doing is starting WAY too many games and never really getting anywhere with them and then starting a new one.

ALready this year I have almost beat Halo 2 and Half Life 2 for Xbox. Half Life 2 is one damn good game!

Probably about 20 games or so. Though Xbox Live is going to encourage me to complete some more titles this year. Already beat Kameo, DOA4, and Amped 3. Almost done with THAW.

Of 2005 Shadow of the Colossus and Killer 7 had the most gratifying endings.

The "classic" titles I most enjoyed playing through again were Star Control II on 3DO, Quest for Glory: So you Want to be a Hero? on PC, and Loom. Can never get enough of those titles.

Lumines was probably the most disappointing in that the score tops out at 999,999 and doesn't increase any further (in so far as you can call that an ending); though Water, Flower, Lights is an EXCELLENT board.

Games I'm going to get to in 2006 are:

Psychonaughts, Dragon Quest VIII, Beyond Good and Evil, and Shadow Hearts: Covenant, and Breakdown.

I completed both Ico and SOTC, a ton of AWESOME black isle games including planescape and fallout, the entire metal gear series, the entire Resident Evil series (yes, I hadn't played any up until last year) and a slew of other great titles. It's defenitely one to remember.

I beat SMB3 twice... and uh... got the Stanley Cup in NHL 06... beat Super Mario World two or three times, and that's all I can remember.

    I'll say 10 games beaten in 2005.

For 2006 I'm gonna try to get at least 30, one per month.

The number of games I've beaten in 2005? More than zero, less than infinity.

    I don't keep a tally of games I finish.

I think I finished a few games in 2005 year; way less than I bought though. Here's what I did:

    Halo 2 (campaign)
    Age of Empires III (campaign)
    Ratchet and Clank: Goin' Commando
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Aresenal
Doom III (co-op...kind of. Skipped like 3-4 of the crappy hell levels)

...and I think that's it. I came close to completing Painkiller (about 3/4 of the way through), but I got to a really corny boss and gave up -- sold the game. Most of the time in 2005 was spent on Halo 2 and Age of Empires III multiplayer.

    A grand total of 8!
Mostly Legend of Zelda games that I never liked playing until around the start of this year.

    DS:
    Advance Wars DS
    Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
    Mario Kart DS
    Metroid Prime Pinball
    Nanostray
    Phoenix Wright
    Puyo Pop
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

    Gameboy Advance:
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (didn't start it this year though)

    Gamecube:
    Resident Evil 4

    PS2:
    Castle Shikigami 2
    Lego Star Wars
    Shadow of the Colossus

    Xbox 360:
    Condemned
    Dead or Alive 4
    The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Bleh, only 16. I consider a game "beaten" if I've gotten to the end credits, but alot of those still aren't "complete" (meaning that there are extra items to earn or optional things to do). I've also almost beaten Astro Boy (GBA) and Sonic Rush (DS).

I wasn't really counting, although i got a very high score in one game.

I don't think that is what this topic is about, though.

    Hmm...

    10 for sure. Maybe more.

I know that I beat all the games in the original Mega Man series.

I also definitely beat Mario Golf: Advance Tour and X-Men Legends.

If computer games count, I beat Fallout

I don't remember whether I beat Katamari Damacy this year or last year.
Same with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Wario Ware (GBA), and Advance Wars 2.

So, somewhere between 10 and 15
"Dost thou love me?" "No" "But thou must!"
