I got Suikoden 2 for only $100!!!

I've sold 3 copies for $125 in the past month! The game isn't that hard to find. I find it more difficult to get a hold of Valkyrie Profile myself.

I still can't believe I grabbed both of these in the wild last week. As far as the rarity goes, the ones I saw bought last week are the only ones I've seen.

Where did you buy them, and How much did you pay?

I saw both of the games at EBGames for $40 and $50. Suikoden II being the $50 one. (Both complete) I didn't buy them, though.

i have not seen one ever -- only that one time i got mine. ever since i found out how much people are buying it for i have never come across it

i passed on valkyrie profile "new" at Gamestop late last year for $30. haven't found it again... BTW, it was the typical Gamestop "new" game where it was opened already and there were scratches on the discs. The scratches are the reason I passed...probably should have got it, because it goes for a good amount (which I do not want to pay)!

While it's pretty cool you got Suikoden 2 and everyting, $100 is about the going rate. But look at the bright side, at least no one can say you over paid! (:

Even if you don't want to own those games you should run back to your local EB and snatch them up just to flip them and make some quick cash. That is of course, if they were still there .

Figure I can sell Suikoden 2 for $140 in Christmas 2006. So that's a nice little profit.

I checked in EB. Suikoden II is gone now, but Suikoden I is still there. Price: $40.

Not sure if i should buy it, since it doesn't seem to go for much more than $40 on ebay. (If you are confused: I am talking about Suikoden I)

Yeah, looks like we got crossed up. The two games I was talking about in previous posts were Valkyrie Profile and Suikoden II. So when you said you "saw both" I assumed you meant those two games as opposed to Suikoden I & II

Got mine at an EB about 6 months ago for $38.

$100 isn't that bad of a price for ebay if it's complete/NM, congrats man.

good job, although, I like to spend no more than $30 on ANY games. If they are new releases, I will wait 8 months for the price to go down, and have just as much fun with it as i would when it was first released

I got my Suikoden 2 (disc only) for $70 at gamestop...found valkyrie profile in mint condition for 40 at gamestop.

Congrats on the find. Personally, I think $100 isn't half bad for it. It's a great game. Though I didn't pay more than $10 for either Suikoden I ($5), Suikoden II (about $6.67), or Valkyrie Profile ($5.95)...

...You know there's been a lot of suikoden 2's popping up on DP lately. There's always a bunch on ebay, but you don't see them that often here.

For me personally, I'd rather trade it here than spend money on ebay when all I'm going to do is buy games anyways =) Besides, with all the fees you get hit with on ebay, it's not worth going there.

True, except everyone selling it here's a newbie. If a regular were to offer I'd be all over it, but giving $100 to someone I don't know who could dissapear tommorow? No thanks. But that's just a buyer's stand point. I can see why a seller would decide to use DP.

I just ment that it stikes me as odd so many of one game have been popping up lately.

I think it's because its gotten out that the value is higher. I think it's tough for newbies to sell stuff, which is why i'm going the trade route, and if I dont get an offer I like I can always just wait and hold onto the game for a while.

In repsonse to the title of this thread, 100 dollars is a hell of a lot for a game. But it would have been much cooler if you had found this game chilling on a dusty shelf in a thrift store for 3 dollars.
