Taito Legends for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC will be available at major retailers on October 25, 2005.
This just became my next PS2 purchase. Maybe even before We Cardiopulmonary Organ Katamari!

Though I wonder what happened to original Qix? I see Super Qix, and the original Qix was on that PS1 Taito budget import collection I got some time back, but I don't see original Qix here.

Qix is also on the Space Invaders plag-and-play. It is strange that it isn't on this collection, since it is a classic (I'm sure many more people are familiar with it than something like "Exzisus") and it couldn't take up much more than 10K on the disc.

Man, this is coming out around the same time as the Capcom disc... hopefully, I'll be working so I can get these...

Hopefully, Operation Wolf will have light gun support. Though, if Qix is not included, maybe Taito and Sega are thinking about a second collection, filled with Qix and nummy Darius action?

    It`s a great lineup,but it`s a shame they didn`t include The Nina Warriors.

In case anybody's wondering about the price, it's going to be $19.99.

Another title I'm planning to buy this fall, and it'll be the fourth classic game compilation purchase in a two month span for me (I bought the first Namco Museum for GBA this week, I'll be getting Midway Arcade Treasures 3 when I pick up LA Rush, and I'll be getting Capcom Classics Collection upon release).

Looks to be the same lineup as the PAL version that's just come out here.

There are games on the Western release missing from the TWO Japanese volumes and vice versa. Guess you really need all three to get all the games

The PAL version isnt published by sega, its published by a company that typically releases budget games (xplosiv i think), or is it?

In any case, ill be having a good look at it when it hits store shelves here

To add to the list of complaints, I'm not going to complain about a missing game..but the missing support for GameCube. Sega (out of all the third parties) has been particularly kind to the GameCube this generation..what happened?

I've been quietly picking up all the arcade compilations that have come out on my GameCube, and it's a shame that this one is going to miss it.

They are only publishing it, not developing it, so no Gamecube version is out of their hands.

I just heard about this in Hardcore Gamer magazine but they had a few more games listed, one of them including Bubble Symphony and Dungeon Magic. Now this site isn't listing them. For the love of God, PLEASE include Bubble Sympony.. argh.
    Zelda is NOT an RPG.

    no original elevator action either

but that is still a good lineup of certified hits mixed with a good portion of novelties and obscure games, with room to spare for a second collection

    *sigh*

    I know, frustration overcomes me.

Still a shame though; guess that dusty old PS2 will get some love in the near future.

Hmm I though Darius IS on there.. Darius Gaiden on Taito Memories Joukan, and G Darius is on Taito Memories Gekan

To be quite honest I find it a little confusing myself. Because there are 2 releases in the Jap market. And now there is this Western version which Mayhem above says has 2 more games involved. For example I see ZOOKEEPER on that list and that is definitely not on the Jap discs because believe you me.. I have looked. x_x

So in addition to the western list. Someone needs to make a list of what each of the japs ones have. Hopefully this is accurate :P

Maybe this is one release where you HAVE to get all the imports as well as the local versions!

    Taito Memories Joukan

    You had me at "Zookeeper."

Maybe they are hoping for a second release, otherwise why hold back on a few top-shelf titles while pumping this disc 60% full of games I never heard of?

No GameCube vesion, as with about everything . It's sad that the only Taito game on GC is BAM 3000, which alot of people haven't played.
