Popular gaming publication Famitsu has revealed some information regarding the next Tekken 5 arcade update dubbed simply as... Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. More information will be available in the upcoming issue of Arcadia Magazine.

What could this mean for Tekken fans? Rumors have circulated that Tekken 5.2 which is already underway is going to be the BIG update to Tekken 5, much like Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution was to Virtua Fighter 4. With an alluding title such as "Dark Resurrection" can we expect some dead favorites to return? True Ogre, Ogre, Armor King, Jun Kazama? Who knows! More information as it becomes available!

They blatantly want to re-release Tekken 5 for the PlayStation 2... so this would give them more ammunition to do so. More Tekken 5 can't be a bad thing, can it?

Most likely they are only balancing the game a little. Like in Tekken 5.1 they made Nina, Steve, and Bryan less deadly.

But then again, If they are going to follow VF, They add a couple of new people. Most likely making Jinpachi playable.

They blatantly want to re-release Tekken 5 for the PlayStation 2... so this would give them more ammunition to do so. More Tekken 5 can't be a bad thing, can it?

I think what they're going to do is much like the VF4 example given. Make Dark Ressurection the GH title at $20. Thats good for me, because I never got around to buying Tekken 5 (or that godly arcade stick).

There's nothing godly about it. Quite an average stick.

Yeah, its a good stick. But not godly. One of the better sticks to get out there that doesn't require a hassle. It's just the buttons and the stick itself aren't as good as a HRAP. But not many sticks are as good as a HRAP...

Then you factor in preference... but let's not go there.

Also, some great news for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. It seems that there will be FOUR new characters not just the previously mentioned Lili and Dragunov. No other information was given at this time but expect to see two other characters time-released after the game is released in December.

so far this game is sooo true to the original.... great great port, best PSP game and BEST psp fighter... (not like there have been many psp fighters), this game is a must own.. perfect so far, no load issues, no graphics glitches yet... awesome...

Standard or modded D-Pad? I didn't find Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max too bad on the PSP's D-Pad.

standard, I have but haven't used the modded dpad... the game's controls are great!
