I was gunna meet up with you guys last night, but I lost RY's phone number. Sigh. Looks like you guys had a good time though. And now.... Im off to the show!
Somebody make me a "CGE 2k7 Attendee banner" so I don't have to use this lame text
Hey guys I didn't take too many photos since I was in video game overload mode and kind of floated around aimlessly looking at all the video game goodness.
I did manage to take a few shots of the video game museum (i'm sure other people took more than I did). A photo of my tired girlfriend I dragged to the expo and a couple she took of me playing too. One really bad photo of 8 Bit Weapon who I thought were so cool I bought both their cds.

Those pictures are awesome Jibba!
I always love looking at pictures of the DP guys. They always seem to be doing some crazy antic. However, I don't see Arcade Antics (the king of all antics) in any of those pictures.
Thanks, Jumpman.
Classicb, where the shits were you? I wanted to meet you.
More importantly? MORE PICS!!!!
Joe wore his light-up shoes so that we wouldn't lose him.
This is a shot down the main aisle before opening on Saturday.
Dream arcades. They sell MAME cabinet kits.
PDF and Drexel923
The people were selling some sort of game develoment board. To be honest, none of us really gave a shit, but Dex and I were facinated by the fact that the chick working the booth looks just like an 80's Suzanne Summers.
Shot of Billy Galaxy's booth. He sells all kinds of gaming toys and whatnot. A couple of his Japanese friends came over from Japan with assloads of import stuf.
Arcade cabs.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Tony Fox and the Digital Retro Revolution.
8-bit weapon setting up. John Hardie (left) was begging to be allowed to sing along to the music.
Swap Meet.

My first day's haul.
My first day's haul.
Vectrexer and Mayhem at the CGE party.
The back of Joe, and the much more desirable back of Carrie at the CGE party.
Fairly uninteresting shot of the party.
John Hardie. Falling asleep standing up. Drunk? Nooooo.
Vectrexer, Mayhem, RetroYoungen, and Drex. Plus the unidentified back of someone's head.
Sean Kelly taking a load off in the bedroom at the CGE party. Drunk? Nooooo.
More to come!

Funny enough I mostly just played games with my GF as if we don't have enough games at home.Originally Posted by Jibbajaba
The only DP people got to talk to were RetroYoungen (since he was helping with 8 bit weapon) and DP. I was thinking I would meet more DPers at the party but then we ended up not going. It was just a day trip for us.
Here's what I got:
This is my first Colecovision. We played Venture, Ladybug and Mousetrap when we got back home.
Here are some pictures of what I picked up at the show.
Great show, and I got to me a bunch of people.
I will try to post some more pictures on my site later today.
I got a lot of great stuff from a couple of real nice guys from Japan Yusaku and Tanaka.

Charles

Beats me, but I do have a couple of corrections. That 7800 controller was released in Europe, and they are readily available as NOS here in the states. I have one myself. If you are interested in one, contact Dave2236/ He sells them in his store.Originally Posted by DrWily008
Also, in that group photo, those two individuals that you didn't name are evg2000 and Darth Vader. I dunno 8-bit Weapon's real name either.
Chris
Great show as always and great pics guys.
I'll have my pics uploaded tomorrow with some captions.
Hey Charles...can you send me a zip file with all of your pics...theres way to many to right click
I believe the back of that head might belong to Rik Morgan, your humble handheld games king, and kind exhibitor of the the gigantic handheld section in the CGE museum. Rik tells me there is much more.Originally Posted by Jibbajaba
Both Rik and I have not really hung out with the group before. Everyone was supernice and interesting. Glad I finally was able to meet and greet a lot of you! The show has some many good souls it is hard to name everyone.

In an effort to save bandwidth, I've started posting some of the highlights of a couple hundred megs worth of video in my blog.*
* End of blog-pimpage - normally frowned-upon, but if you're posting your CGE pics in your blog, it's permissible in this thread.
8bit Weapon = Seth Sternberger
I've just transfered my pics over to the PC, will see about resizing and adjusting colour some point today for uploading...
Those are some awesome pictures. Man... to think that I was in California the week before, and I just couldn't figure out a way to stay another week and make it up to CGE from LA... In a couple years, I think I need to make up some sort of excuse!

The second question mark person in the picture at the DP booth is DarthVader (Dan Kasner)
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
