That Coaxial adapter (Coaxial (F-type) to Female RCA Adapter
Radio Shack part #278-276) is a wonder! Clear screen, and no more need for a crappy switchbox for the older systems. Highly recommended.

Here's a duesy of a first post -- some info on the RCA Studio II!

The article consists of instructions and a schematic on how to scratch-build a crude version of the unique Selector Switch unit (RCA part number 18V102, according to my manual). In case you're not familiar, the Studio II uses an odd switch box that routes both the power supply and the video connection through a single line from the system. Very unorthodox, and very hard to find.

Though I understand the basic tech info, I have not the least bit of electronics-repair skill or equipment. What I'd really love is to be able to find an original Selector so I can get my very first console (

) running again. Anyone have any leads?

There's a great section with full pics of the boards and how to take apart and repair the Intellivison controllers!

The replacement part numbers won't help much (such as if you're looking to replace the transformer) as they seem to be "internal" part numbers.

Included in that treasure trove are a guide to currently available batteries with all their specs, as well as massive cross-reference listings for different manufacturers. Plus, there's guides on what batteries to use when the ones you need are no longer available.
