Here is mine.

Last Monday was a holiday and I decided to drive up north a bit. I was poking through the Fukushima/Ibaraki coastal are and came across one of the "We buy and sell everything stores" - Mito Kanteidan. (In Mito city, of course)
I've had very little luck in these sorts of stores lately as some of them have started to carry less and less retro gaming and others haven't changed their prices in 10 years. Still others are rat's nests and impossible to negotiate (though I like that sort of shop). Mito Kanteidan was different. Clean and well-organized, they had all kinds of interesting gaming goodness at reasonable prices. I didn't have my camera with me so I can't share pictures, but believe me when I say they had an amazing selection. There was aisles of just about every every system imaginable, and tons of rare stuff (PC Engine LT, several 64DD games, even some Pippin soft). I found several items I had been looking for for some time, like these WonderSwan items:
That's the very-hard-to-find Handy Sonar and the just-about-as-hard-to-find Chocobo Fushigi na Dungeon pack. I also snagged some NeoGeo Pocket stuff I wanted and a used copy of Shoot the Bullet:
I'm pretty sure the Party Mail is brand new, too - it certainly looks like the sticker has never been removed. Not so rare but still interesting, I picked up some PS2 games as well:
Haven't had a chance to play either yet.
For those who might theoretically be interested in visiting this shop, don't consider it. It's really in the middle of nowhere and only accessible by car. Probably why they had such nice stuff.
Though I dont have a Famicom Disk System, I picked up Esper Dream and Gall Force: Eternal Story. A little preparatory buying never hurts.

Recently added Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie (loose cart) and Super Back to the Future Part II (CIB) to my slowly-expanding Super Famicom collection.
Seeing how I'm currently living in Osaka, this was technically an "import" for me:
I CANNOT believe my luck!![]()
It's pretty cool. The first floor is all manga and toys/collectibles, the 2nd floor has games, movies, CDs, and trading cards, and I haven't gone to the higher floors as they have mostly anime/porn stuff I'm not interested in. They don't have the biggest selection or best prices in terms of games, but I always seem to find something amazing.
The one in Umeda is pretty cool too, but they keep 90% of the boxed retro games behind the check-out counter. It's annoying.
I didn't know there was one in Den Den Town! Where is/was it??
Yeah, I've bought a few things at the Umeda store, too - just not in 3 years or so.
The old Den Den Town one was sort of on the north side of things - somewhere a bit north of A-Too, IIRC. It was always packed and had super narrow aisles, but the game section was small and pretty worthwhile. I picked up a few Saturn rares when they were clearing stuff out.
Last few times I blew through Den Den Town I was highly disappointed in the prices. I snagged a few things anyway (at the Sofmap near Ebisucho) but left shaking my head a bit. Usually better prices in inaka but you gotta get to inaka.
Actually just got a few 3DO imports. I got myself Ultraman Powered, some random Japanese Sampler cd for the 3DO, and the rare Korean game Firewall for the 3DO as well.
Mika: Where are you taking me, Gillian?
Gillian: To look at videos on YouTube...
Mika: *sigh* No more videos of a drunk Harry dancing with a dead Snatcher...
Giliian: Nope, it's better...Its LiquidPolicenauts YouTube Videos!
Gillian: And after that, you should also visit
The Policenauts Paradise and Snatcher Shrine
I hear that. I lived out in Mie Prefecture for 3 years before moving to Osaka and I used to love cruising the giant recycle shops every weekend. I always found the coolest stuff and best deals at tiny hole-in-the-wall stores though. Unfortunately my habit caused me to blow 90% of my JET paychecks on games/consoles...![]()

Got my copy of the 1st Print Run of Melty Blood: Actress Again (PS2). It came in this neat box with the game and two disc soundtrack.
Picked this up from eBay last night;
Finally convinced myself that it was worth buying another Saturn (already have the black NTSC Saturn) just for the color. It looks infinitely better than the black one.
Also bought copies of Anearth Fantasy Stories and Spriggan.
Great night/day for me!

Jeez, that Saturn looks like it's brand new! How much did that run you?
