Would you have preferred a US version?

    On a side note...

Won another sweet Famicom Disk Only game that has been painstakingly converted to a cart with high quality custom box and instructions!

What if a cib US version and a cib JPN version each cost only $30 bucks.... Which version would you prefer and why? Just curious.

Well if i wanted to know the story the u.s version.Still i give the japanese version the edge,no annoying voice acting and it comes in a jewel case at least.

Btw i never like how soa sold the sega-cd games in the long boxes it took up space.

I can see where people would (1) like the long box and (2) dislike the long box cases for Sega CD. I actually think the long boxes are kinda cool, but I hate how fragile they are (imho). I lean more towards the japanese versions these days for consistency since that's what I collect these days.

Won a second Saturn hss-0130 arcade stick. Now I got 2 of these bad boys. This one's boxed. Best stick for the Saturn (imho)... basically looks like the panel of a SEGA Astro City arcade machine that's been cut off and modded for console.

Won another sweet FDS to famicom cart conversion with all the bells n whistles. Never thought I'd find this one.

Ai Senshi Nicol by Konami. This one looks just like the one Parodius Duh obtained earlier.

    Just got a recent purchase:
    Famicom loose carts:
Mitsume Ga Tooru (very nice condition)
Meta Fight (slightly dirty. But I'm guessing it's just an effect of the aging white plastic. My FF2 cart is also pretty dirty and won't come clean)
    Super Famicom CIB games:
Pikiinya. Cover is a bit sunfaded, but it was still a lot cheaper than ebay.
Kishin Douji Zenki - Battle Raiden (box is a bit crushed, but it wasn't very expensive. I hear it's pretty fun, like Hanage, but much easier. Footage I've seen shows very nice graphics.)
Mahoujin Guruguru. A bit bending but okay. Not sure what this game is exactly, but I think along with the sequel (already ordered) and I'm pretty close to a full Enix SNES/SFC set (well, full as in owning at least one variant of each game. only missing DQ3, Jutei Senki, Itadaki Street 2 and... some mahjong game. :P )

Nice, I can definitely appreciate the Neo AES goodness!

Stuff that came in last week and over the weekend. PS3 Macross LE 30th Anniversary Box (game, DYRL movie bluray and other stuff), Totoro Bluray, Dreamcast Gunlord and some famicom pirates (Super Shinobi 2 port, Zen Intergalatic Ninja, Another Jackal, Kickmaster, Joe & Mac, Last Action Hero). Usually I only pick up pirates of games that were never officially released in Japan.

The awesomeness of the new Macross goods that just came out. DYRL and Macross Flasback on blu-ray. The game and other stuff is just icing.

The legendary Totoro finally on blu-ray. The first Ghibli movie I've ever seen and by far my favorite.

You can find imports on ebay, Amazon, as well as new stuff from Play Asia. Some of my imports were found locally, some were gotten by me from a friend who'd get them off Japanese sellers on ebay, and some I got from US sellers off ebay.

Wow, that's a few expensive games there.

I imported a CIB copy of Twinkle Star Sprites for Saturn. Was a bit disappointed to open the case and find the game CD loose. I tried ripping an ISO with ImgBurn. It finished without any errors, so hopefully it's still good. I noticed a circular scratch near the edge of the Omake disc. Also ripped an ISO with no errors reported.
Also got a CIB SFC Knights of the Round, after a guy on ebay never sent me a poor label US cart. Guy said he was going to refund me, only after I had to report it to Paypal. Nearly two weeks later, no refund. Do I just as well wait for paypal to refund me?
I figured I better order a Mega CD copy of Keio Yugetaiki before that becomes exorbitantly expensive. Ordered some obscure Famicom memory card attachment called the Battle Box, loose. Even though I don't know if my AV Famicom's expansion port is working. Good thing I happened to get the only game I know of to support it (Armadillo) with my last import order. (although the product description says it doesn't use a battery. So... does that mean it probably uses an EEPROM for storage?)

^^Yeah, they weren't the cheapest, but I did get them cheaper than ebay prices. It just feels good to finally get them after all this time

Iron Commando... NICE. One of the harder to find games. Nice pickup with Gourmet Sentai too.
