He was in Pilotwings 64 under a different name. Lark, I think? He was also mentioned in Dragon Warrior, and I seem to recall them mentioning him in other NES games as well.
He is mentioned in Dragon Warrior--you meet up with Howard in a town that...it's somewhere deep in the forest--and he asks "Have you seen Nester?
I dunno, but his sister Hester was only in Nester's Funky Bowling for the VB.
