the gameboy galleria isn't up-to-date (no micro or ds models), but it does have lots of pictures.

In the US there were only six colors released; Grey, Black, Green, Yellow, Red, and clear. There is one variant in the grey model.

Japan and Europe saw other colors, as well as limited editions.

gotta love wikipedia, the most extensive amount of information on the most mundane topics. Except, there are people out there, like us, that WOULDN'T consider the complete list of Gameboy models and colors mundane

I know many retailers like Target and Toys R Us (duh, cuz I worked there and sold many of them ) had limited edition colors (TRU had a Gold trend, a gold N64, Gold GBASP, and in Japan now I heard of a gold DS) but I was amused to see a Manchester United edition of the original GameBoy and a Tommy Hilfiger GameBoy Color. Of course, I was NOT surprised in the least to see the number of Pokémon editions and other Japanese franchises such as Hello Kitty, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Naruto.

That would be a rather daunting task and highly brag-worthy if one could collect all GameBoy variants. I wonder how accurate the wikipedia list is. Imagine how many Japanese limited editions there could be - that may not be all of them listed there. Although wikipedia is extensive and people add to it everyday. Like they got the TRU SpongeBob SP listed. Then again, it's been out since November - plenty of time to post that...
