on some EA games there is a security screw that looks like a Y with a triangle in the middle (the tamper proof part)

does ne1 know what his one is called and if its avaibale to buy or a custom EA thing

Melt a pen end into it. make your own half ass bit.

I don't know what the triangle ones are called either.

They are usually called Tri-wings if I'm thinking of the right ones. Never dealt with the people at this link but it'll give you a picture of the ones I mean Action Electronics

    nope its not a tri-wing

i would imagine that the bit would look something like a 3 pronged spanner

ill try the pen melting - i hope it dosent endup sticking to the cart itself

Tri-wings won't work since the EA screw isn't recessed in the middle. I had luck with a two-prong spanner head and being methodical about it.. other than that, I know of no tri-prong bit.

yea i used a spanner but i dont like the damage it does sometimes to the screw

the pen melting worked GREAT!! -
but it wont last long - and haveing a pile of unused ink inserts is not apealing (since im the type that doesnt like to throw away usefull items)

i used the cheapo bic pen (round stic) - melted the tapered end with a heat gun untill it was a melted ball and forced it into the hole on the cart

the White tube didn't melt and helped in stabilzing it while it cooled to make a nice strait handle

Hmmm most of the EA games I checked had the normal Genny style screws or Phillips. Anyway try this place and see if the Tridetn style is what you mean

Don't know if they sell the bits but you could always call and talk to them I guess
