C'mon somebody ... SCREENSHOT!
It was a bootleg GBA cart. The "F off and die" comment was on the boot screen. remember when you'd get a "cracked" game for your C64, and there would be a list of credits from those who cracked the game's original code? THAT'S where the F off and die comment was located.
The parents bought an illegal copy from some vendor. Ain't Disney's fault. That's like going to Blockbuster, renting Lion King, finding out someone dubbed homemade pron on the tape, then suing Disney. x_x

Awwwwwww. Well that ruins it. This was going to top the wienie in the background of Little Mermaid thing for me!
Check out snopes, which has a great list of some not-so-true and some can't-believe-it's-true things in Disney films.

Eh I dunno about that. That story has the girl holding up the cart, which looks pretty real to me. Maybe the parents bought it at a flea market or something.Originally Posted by s1lence

There is enough information in that article to identify the people.
Quote 1:
Beki Stewart
Quote 2:
Civil servant Mark, of North Shields, North Tyneside
He probably bought that stuff on Ebay.

Here are some things I found out:
1. It Said
Which means that they got it in England.Mark, 32, had splashed out £200 on the game
2. The pic has the US "Nintendo Seal of Quality"
Here is a pic of a game with the UK Seal of Quality:
http://www.vgmuseum.com/scans/gba/fzeroC.jpg
3. It has an ESRB "E" logo on it
If they are in England, then it's an Import, or a
Pirate!
...and that's my 2 cents
Sweet Jesus, tell me that's a misprint...Mark, 32, had splashed out £200 on the game
200.00 United Kingdom Pounds * = * 376.89 United States Dollars

And is there any other source for this story? Call me a cynic, but I wouldn't wipe my arse with god-awful Murdoch rag 'The Sun', much less believe most of it's contents.
Come on, it is The Sun. Do you really think they would have a proper journalistic report? It is like saying the National Enquirer is a good place to find information on current events.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
LMFAO! You gotta love the Cracked intros on games, i first learnt the F-Word off a bootleg amiga game back in the day!

I don't know how you could tell from that distance. I have a bootleg Bubble Bobble Old and New and it's not apparent unless you look real closely at it.Originally Posted by Flack

More games needs to say stuff like this. It'll get kids to go outside and be healthy or something.
Obviously this little girl already knew the F-wordOriginally Posted by cauterize

It's a fake story, I believe.
Reading about cracked games, I remember reading one story from a guy who collected pirate games, got Super Mario RPG at a pawn shop, and when he encountered Smithy he said 'What the hell?', flipped the screen off, and the game reseted. Or something like that, anyways.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
I love the hypocrisey of it all:
1. A parent upset at Disney because of his own stupidity in buying a pirated game. x_x
2. How does a 7 year old even know what the "f word" is to even be able to identify it as an offensive word to begin with?![]()
"Daddy what does f*ck mean?"
