Space Fury WIP 2600

The Digital Press mascot is on Summer Vacation. Join him on his
FLORIDA TRIP.



Mr Space Fury was on his way to some Fun and Sun in South Beach. Somewhere along the way he got sidetracked and ended up lost.

Oh No!! Now the car has broken down and it is getting dark out.

Control Mr Space Fury in his trip thru the Florida Everglades. Avoid the dangerous animals and other PITFALLS.

If you are lucky, You may just find some long lost Spanish Treasure!



This is the second hack that has starred the Digital Press Mascot. He also appeared in the special Digital Press Christmas 2003.

This time he is on Summer Vacation and on a Florida Trip.

Is there any interest in a Trainer/Easy version? I could make another version that has no time limit and no lives.

Also, Should I make more of an effort to change the Pitfall elements?
New creatures?

Should I change any colors?

Colors look OK but some of the bad guys and treasures could probably benefit from a more relevant face lift! I would think having Space Fury Guy grab pieces of his ship instead of cash bags and gold bars might make it a little more customized, for starters!

You should change the snakes to little eBay logos. Touch them, and he gets auctioned off into the abyss!

I will change the treasures to space ship parts. I think I will change the story line to Space Fury having crashed on a strange alien planet. I will also change all enemies to go with the alien theme. If I can figure it out, I will change the jumping hangtime/distance to give the game a different feel. I will also make two versions, A normal timed version and a trainer/untimed version.

I should have the changes posted by tomorrow.

Haven't had as much time to work on as I thought. But I'm getting there.

I have changed the jumping height and distance. Still in the process of making the other changes.

Hey Joe, Can you write up a short back story to go with it?? How did Space Fury end up in a single alien craft that crash lands?

NAME AN ALIEN!!

One of the new characters is pictured below. They are harmless, but they sure get in the way. This character will take the place of the log sprite in Pitfall.

I need a name for them. Any ideas??

Some already suggested names:

Gurp Gurp
Toadians
Disciples of Trogia
Gnillor Gol (Rolling Log backwards)

I say that alien should be named "UPC"

UPC = Useless Piece of crap. Kind of sounds liek an alien name also. Just a thought.
