Default Star Trek Borg Pinball 2600

Wolf 359 is the name of a star located 7.8 light-years from Sol.
It was the site of a terrible battle in which 40 Federation starships
and two Klingon warships tried in vain to prevent a Borg invasion of Earth
in early 2367. The Starfleet armada was decimated by the Borg, resulting in
the loss of 39 ships and 11,000 lives.

Welcome to Wolf 359. Can you prevent the Borg Invasion of Earth???

    There were Klingon ships there?

Looks like a fun pinball game.

    What was the original game?

I've heard that there was one Klingon ship there, two is new to me. plus the number of ships at Wolf 359 is always in question, if it truly was 40. And then if one starship did survive the attack, where did it go afterwards? Of course Voyager had an episode with a Wolf 359 survivor, of sorts, which seesm that the Borg may have transwarped a ship into Borg space or just spirited away some people to the Delta Quadrant, during or after the battle(?). Oh...wait...this isn't the Star Trek forum....

Yeah, I know it's a little off topic, but I'd still like to know where that info came from, cause it's a little different then how I recall. :P

Where is PDF when we need him?

    What did I start??

There is debate even with people involved with making the episodes as to whether or not any lKingon ships were present at Wolf 359. There was one Federation ship to survive with the other survivor being Klingon. This is the version that I went with. The Klingons did send help to Wolf 359 but it is assumed that none made it in time. In this version two ships did arrive in time for the battle.

Which version is right?? Who knows??

    Excerpt from discussion:

Have the Klingons really been proven to have been at Wolf 359 for the battle? All of the dialogue seems to indicate that it was a Starfleet-only engagement. Furthermore, the single effects shot of Klingon ships seen in relation to the Borg was from "Unity," but there were a large number of Klingon ships seen in that shot (reused from DS9's "The Way of the Warrior"). I seriously doubt that the Klingons would have sent that many ships so quickly, considering that they were unlikely to have any of their warships stationed inside Federation territory. -- MinutiaeMan 19:04, 13 Jan 2004 (PST)

Perhaps the Klingons did send ships, but they didn't arive in time for Wolf359. Could we get some references in this article? I thought it was just the two TNG episodes, but in one of the screenshots I read it was taken from "Emmisary". Could someone clarify please? -- Redge 18:23, 26 Jun 2004 (CEST)

An another note: Star Trek.com lists the USS Saratoga as being the one ship to escape intact. -- Redge 19:06, 26 Jun 2004 (CEST)

And Yes. I know that it is a TV Show.

    Hum. Interesting.

Well, Star Trek.com is the OFFICIAL website of the franchise, so if THEY say that the USS Saratoga escaped the battle, I'm not going to doubt them.

So 40 Fed ships went in and 39 were lost.

The only thing that made me go 'huh' and the reason I asked in the first place was about the Klingon ships. I never heard that before.

In any case, still looks like a nice hack.

Surviving intact must have a different meaning to them as everyone who saw the Wolf 359 battle in Emissary knows the Saratoga blew up.

As for the Klingon's, we see throughout Voyager of assimilated Klingons. It may not necessarily be from Wolf 359. Borg ships swinging by the area could simply have attacked Klingon ships quick enough to have such ships labeled as MIA, so they would not now what happened to the ships. It happens all the time to Starfleet ships who are out exploring regions of nowhere.

I, Borg and The Neutral Zone prove that Borg ships do routinely go about far from the Delta Qaudrant. The Federation and Romulan neutral zone outposts that were destroyed was a mystery as to who may have done it until Q hurled Enterprise-D near a planet that suffered the same type of attacks and then encountered the Borg.
