Default Commodore 64 (Convert .d64 to .t64 or .tap)

Since I don't currently have a disk drive for my 64, but do have a datasette, I've been getting roms of my old games and copying them onto cassette using Tap-Wav for .tap files and WAV-PRG for .t64. The problem is that most of the games I want to play are in the .d64 format, so is there a way to convert the .d64s to. .t64 or .tap so I can put them on cassette, or perhaps is there a program which can convert .d64s into .wavs?

That's one of the few things you cant do . Think about it, if a game is a floppy multi-loader it would never work on a tape. But, if the game is only one file you can rip it out of the D64 file and put it into a T64 file. Dont worry though, there's tons of T64 files out there. Oh and consider investing in a floppy drive if you're going to spend a good bit of time with your C-64, using a datasette is proven to cause severe psychological harm. PRESS PLAY ON TAPE ... <CLICK> ... half an hour later the game's title screen finally comes up, then it's back to loading again... serisously I would start loading Forbidden Forest from my tape drive and I'd usually have to go eat dinner or something and would sometimes forget to even play it.

Well, it really depends on the game. Most disk games can never be converted to tape simply due to the way they use files... however, if the game you want to convert is contained entirely in a single file (check the directory listing), then you might be able to copy it onto a tape within an emulator, and then use the resulting tape image to do what you've been doing...

However, you REALLY should invest in a 1541, and get an X1541 cable... it'll make the whole C64 experience a lot better.
