Just thought I'd take a break from my self-imposed sabbatical and report on what's going on over here. I'm currently sitting in a bar at 7:45pm in the south of England playing a bunch of old retro games (well, actually I'm sitting on a LAN-equipped PC to type all this, but you get the idea) at the Retrovision get-together in Frome. Jeff Minter is here and we're all just getting piss drunk and eating curry and having fun.

I've spent a few days doing some heavy shopping...found a few longbox PSX games for 2 pounds each (nothing terribly rare, but stuff I was missing) and one place had like eight complete Gallop Racers sitting on the shelf. Unfortunately they wanted about $20 U.S. for each, otherwise I would've bought them all and resold them on ebay.

Mayhem and I also spotted a blue debug PSX unit on sale at a Game shop (think Gamestop, same sort of idea) for the low, low price of 20 pounds. Mayhem bought it and is keeping it since it's a PAL system, he'd get more use out of it.

Other than that we've been hanging out and relaxing...finally got to see the uncut version of Kill Bill among other things. I'll come back and post regularly again once the plane lands on Monday...see you all then.

They were NTSC Gallop Racers. Believe me, I could've cleaned up big time if they were cheaper.

I'll tell Jeff to hurry up as soon as he gets out of bed...which should be around 5pm tonight.
