    I've always wondered this. What kind of plans did Sega have for this thing? Surely they didn't do it just for the hell of it.

    I think they just did that for storing purposes. You know because it's hard to wrap the cord around that monster on a controller.

    they had plans for a wireless adaptor for the controller
